I am rereading the series and eagerly awaiting the Amazon series (and hoping it isn't too screwed up) and was thinking, wouldn't a Wheel of Time overhaul be cool for CK2?

- Channeling could be a genetic trait with varied levels of strength. Channelers have extra options for using the power. Of course, the men go mad, and waste away, if not gentled.
- Andor would use Enatic Primogeniture succession.
- Tear has no king. The High Lords might best be represented by Patrician families of a merchant republic.
- Perhaps the Seanchean would become an off-map power? Using mechanics of either China or Aztecs?
- Saldaeans get a boost to calvary. Aiel get a bonus to light infantry. Carheinin get extra plot power. Domani get extra stewardship. Amadicians get laughed at.
- Religions could include the worship of the Creator (Amyrlin Seat instead of the Pope), the Way of the Light (Secular Head - Lord Captain Commander of the Whitecloaks), the Crystal Throne (Secular Head - Empress of Seanchean), and Ji'eh'toh.
- The Sea Folk are probably best represented as a mercenary band that offers transports.
- Play through history - the years after the Breaking, the Ten Nations, the Trolloc Wars, the Fall of Aridhol, Hawking's Empire, Rise of House Trakand, The Aiel War, and the Last Battle.
- Become an Aes Sedai, join the Band of the Red Hand, an Aiel warrior society, or kneel to the Great Lord of the Dark.

I thinks there was a long time ago someone who tried to make a mod on WoT, but it was abandoned. Nevertheless, it would be a very interesting universe for a mod

Andor should use a unique succession where every woman who can trace her lineage back to the first queen (I don't remember her name) can press a claim upon succession. Kind of like a more militant version of Elective.

Also Amadicia has a vassalized Holy Order?

Yeah, Andor is a bit odd - it is almost like Enatic Primogeniture but defaults to something weird when there is no heir.

Lol, Amadicia is more like a holy order vassalizing a realm rather than the other way around. Not even sure it is possible in the game mechanics? So a vassalized Holy Order would probably be the best representation.

Maybe you could give the Whitecloaks a substantial amount of land in de jure Amadicia and then make the king tributary, that's the closest thing to an Holy Order vassalizing a king tier ruler.

I'm reading the series (still on book 4) and I was actually wondering why there is. No Wot mod
Same reason as so many other fiction or non-fiction settings. Mods take time to be made.
Additionally, you can never just transpose a setting into a mod. There are a lot of things to make up to make sure it's enjoyable to play.

Which is also why imo it's almost useless to suggest total conversion mods if you don't plan to start making the mod yourself.
No modder is just going to say "yeah that would be cool I'll assemble a team and work for dozens of hours (if not more) on that mod". That's never happened afaik.

Oh I completely understand. I just meant that I am surprised that Wot in particular was never turned into a mod, considering that by what I have read so far (90 pages to the end of book 4) it seems adaptable to CK2 easier than other fantasy universes that were actually adapted, and it appears to be popular enough that someone could make - and maintain - one, at least for a while.

To be fair both mods have been silent for over 2 years, not much of a point in looking them up.
To be fair some of the CK2 total conversation mods release public updates in similar time periods (I'm looking at you, Elder Kings).
