would aflash drive or a shared folder work

I just bought eic yesterday and it will not install on my computer. i have vista home 64 bit version the disk will not even bring up the install screen it does work on my wife's laptop. could i install it on her laptop then put it in a shared folder or on a flash drive and run the game that way?

This is what happened to me, try this:

insert disk then goto "my computer" right the drive the disk is in and click "install or run program", is this doesnt work right click again and click "explore" then double click setup.exe

Check my thread "Drive doesn't see disk" on this forum, sounds like you might have the same problem. Used an external drive to install it. Hope that helps.

well i triede to do the setup.exe still didn't work any other ideas i really do not want to buy an external dvd drive please let me know i apprecciate the help i have had so far

You could try to share the laptop's dvd drive if your computers can see each other in your home network.

It goes something like this:

(I have no idea if this will work or not, just guessing)

- Insert DVD into laptop
- Open "My Computer"
- Right click on DVD Drive icon, menu opens
- Choose "Properties", then "Sharing" (or whatever it is in english windows)
- Share the drive

- Go to another computer, find the shared drive and start the setup.exe.

I borrowed the drive. Once it's installed the disk doesn't have to be used to play the game.
