Thank you everyone for the hearty congratulations. It is always an honor to be recognized in AARLand.

That being said, it is time to pass this honor on to its next worthy recipient: @Werson and the delightful The Last of Dumnonia - A Cornish AAR. This story has a gripping narrative, beautiful artwork, and some great discussions on real world Cornwall as an added bonus. I just got myself caught up and I am definitely looking forward to more.

Congratulations @Werson !
Oh, thank you! I haven't posted in a while so it's surprising to see this. I regret to inform everyone that my save got corrupted, something to do with the way the mods I used interacted with me playing as an adventurer.
I do have plans on starting another run though, this time I plan on playing through much more, if not all of the campaign before I begin to write about it though. That way even if something was to happen to the save file, I would still have everything to complete the story.
Thank you all for reading, and for the award.

Don't forget to pick your successor @Werson. It's an important part of receiving this nod. :)

We'd like to keep this going @Werson. Do you have a pick for your successor? Past time to reward a new writAAR.

We seem to have lost @Werson for the moment, so it looks like we'll need a new WritAAR of the Week come tomorrow. Let's open the floor for nominations by end of day so we can get back to Sunday to Sunday.

And I will add, I agree with @Lord Durham from another weekly thread - these weeklies are given out for two reasons (and have been for 20+ years.) One to highlight. Another to reward. It doesn't quite work when the one being highlighted is not interested in rewarding aka passing it on. Bask in the glow, yes. But with great honor comes great responsibility. We don't thrive without it. :)

Very well then. I don't like to pick as this is a bit my project (AARland's project!) and it should never be a committee by a few but rather a more democratic "next person up" and one rewards the next. But if we are stuck, I want to see it keep going. So, allow me to choose the next WritAAR of the Week. And I can think of no better than...

@stnylan for his work in The Thorn of the Rose in HoI4.

We know him as a great Fan, but never forget that he is also a great writAAR and after some time away from us, he is back and working once more on this work started in 2020. This will be his 7th nomination, I think, and the last was 5 years ago. About time!

So many congratulations, my friend! I am so happy to see you back with us and not just doing your usual reading, but back with this work! Well done!!

An outstanding choice. It was a pleasant surprise to see Thorn of the Rose return along with it's author and this award is well deserved as it remains excellent.

Congratulations indeed @stnylan
