This week, the beloved WoW award goes out to a writer who has been with us some time, crafting some nice tales. Mettermrck hails from South Carolina in the States and has been a member since 2001. He wrote these AARs a while ago and has moved on to CK beta but I am hoping to coax him back to HOI.

His first tale was a story of the US in the Second World War. It was a first effort by a fledgling writer and the first part began with what I consider the hardest part of writing these tales - dialogue. If you ever wanted to see what a nicely written story, complete with pictures and cliff hangers looks like, this is your place. The tale ran until 1943 when his computer bit the dust and the story crashed (bad joke) to a halt.

His second story was a story of England from 1936 through March of 1938. The tale was off to a great start with good dialogue, pictures and a story line. However, a corrupted save file brought it to a crashing end.

Sadly, Mettermrck has moved on to CK beta testing now. Perhaps we can coax him back to HOI with this award, the trophy and the $10,000,000 that goes with it (we wish).

So, Mettermrck, the podium is all yours….

Well, thanks, Stroph, for the surprise award. :) I feel a little embarassed since I haven't written much since the last one, but I've always been proud of my AAR work, unfinished though they are. I do hope to return to the HOI writing scene soon, now that the new patch and CORE version is out, and now that CK is officially released. I'm not sure if I'll resurrect the old UK one or at least continue...perhaps I might in a less literary-intensive style, which would make it easier for me to complete. For those who don't know me, I still work in the health insurance industry here in Columbia, SC, dealing with legal correspondence. I'm 28 years old and I'm still trying to find that one great book idea. Anyhow, thanks again, guys! :)

Indeed, apart from Pruf's few posts here and there youre the only one of the original 3muskettAARs still about. Was looking forward to the complete strategy AAR with Britain but there you go. Hope to read some more of you AARs in the future! The CK one was good but 2short ;)
