Wrong Flemish flag in CK3

Description​

Dear mr/mss Paradox,
For some time now the Flemish flag in CK3 has troubled me. This is very nit picky of me but with the new start date that was added a good amount of time ago I just couldn't get this thought out of my head.

Before the 1178 start date was added, the Flemish flag was a lion. This is inaccurate but hey, everyone recognizes it and there was no start date after the lion was officially used so no complaining. Now, however, there is the 1178, and also the person who added and first used the flag!

Again, very nit picky of me, but is it possible to use the correct flag of Flanders for the first two start dates?
I added a pic of the original. If you need a historic source "Flandria Illustrata" should be good, although it isn't contemporary.

I apologize for the confusion @Pied-Noir. Let me try again.

The Flemish family and county in ck3 uses the Lion coat of arms, which was first used during the reign of Philip of Alsace, the count during the 1187 starting date. The use of the Lion as the flag corresponds with the 12th century West-European trend of using a lion in your coat of arms. Philip used the lion before he even was count.

This means that the 867 and 1066 coat of arms of Flanders are incorrect. And should be the flag you showed with the blue and yellow stripes

What I thus would want is that the family and county of Flanders start with the right flag in the 867 and 1066 start date, with maybe a decision to adopt the lion flag?

Also, I have taken a look at your mod which is very impressive. One little note though, Baldwin I of Flanders got excommunicated by a bishop for eloping with Judith of Flanders. But pope Nicholas I lifted the excommunication.
