My original complaint in the General Discussion is here: Swiss Oddity .
In a nutshell: I'm playing Switzerland v.1.3 in a war with France who kick my butt and all my provinces are occupied. I don't get a peace offer that I can accept or decline, which I understand since I'm totally defeated. Although it would be nice to know just what I agreed to.
The only notice I get that the war is over is just a message in the history log--easy to overlook and WRONG. In the history log it says, something to the effect that Switzerland accepted peace with France: Status Quo.
But, I noticed later, in reality I was paying $450 a month in war reparations. Hardly a status quo peace. It's not a game killer but a nuisance. I didn't budget for a $450/mth "diplomatic payment" and found myself in a huge hole until I figured out what was going on.
Also, does this mean that everytime I see in the history log that two AI countries signed a "status quo" peace, in actual fact that might not be the case?
