Is there any way to stop the switch to feudal from Sub-roman ? Reverse it ? I couldn’t get the tech and laws to adopt bureaucracy (which didn’t switch) in time so now I’m stuck making half of what i did and not being able to sustain my armies
If you maintain the Roman infrastructure you will remain Sub-Roman. However once the infrastructure has decayed you can not restore it, and once you are feudal there is no going back.
Oh and is there any chance to create merchant republics in this mod ? Tried for a while but couldn’t (all but one became sub roman government)
If you are feudal without Sub-Roman rulers in your realm you should be able to create merchant republics in the end game.

Alright, thanks, and btw I did become bureaucratic by inheriting a bureaucracy. And sorry to bother again but what’s the « Roman infrastructure » that I have to maintain ? The roads ?

Hey there. There is something I'm wondering about the deterioration of Roman legions.

I'm already aware that there's nothing to do stop it (even though I'd have hoped that going Bureaucratic would solve the issue, or that I could look into the files to try and fix the issue), but what happens if they reach an amount of 0 soldier? Am I doomed to eventually get legions that have no troops at all?

If they were to reach 0 soldiers then the legions de facto disband, yes. However, given that this decay happens by century and that it is a 0,10 malus per century it is impossible for them to fully disappear by 1453. So in practice they will never get to 0 soldiers.

I see. So is it normal that by 518 (I started in the earliest bookmark, in February 476) my legions went from 1,800 men to 1730-ish already?

I don't know exactly how the decay is applied and calculated per century to be honest, but it is probably 0,001 per year if 0,1 per century. So after 42 years that you a lost a certain amount of men doesn't surprise me more than that. You can compensate for the loss through retinues or by recreating other legions.

I been playing since the child emperor start date and now I'm in year 600 as king of britain because i play as Briton (trying do king Arthur stuff because I'm lucky get meteor fall event and i make it into costume excalibur and bye bridany culture). My question is why my government type staying sub roman to year 600 and there no event that trigger change government to feudal ? Is that because my character stay Briton while all holding in my realm changed into bridany culture ?

Well I am not expecting an answer but I have to try.

I have become the Imperum Romanum, big yay and all that.
Saw the decision to build the Hagia Sophia, who wouldn't do that.
And that was it. I am one of the specific religions listed. But the wonder is not active.
I first thought it was a timed event kind of thing because it's a special kind of wonder.
But even after 100 years nothing changed.
Even if I change its status to active in the save game nothing changes in-game.

Is it just bugged?
