How exactly does the "Melting Pot" system work? What cultures can merge?
Currently, we have this:
Romance melting-pot events: VERY WIP-now including skeletal melting pots for: gothi culture, which shifts to Castillian, Leonese, Catalan, Portugese or Andalusian; Italian, which emerges from Latin; Occitan and French that emerge in different circumstances from Roman-Gallic; and other cultural shifts to eliminate the continental celtics and visigoths that linger on so that later melting pots will facilitate.

Little teaser of the new romangfx ethnicity introduced in next release, integrating the awesome contribution from @Silfae (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ldings-pictures-coa-etc.833456/#post-18979843).

It combines Roman clothing & headgear with Mediterranean faces, and is used for western Roman empire associated cultures (Roman, Gallo-roman, Romano-hispanic, etc.)

Another little teaser for the next update concerning the two new bookmarks that were added in (Enlil did all the history and decided what bookmarks should be added, it had been done a while ago):

Just to highlight that it is an interesting point to start, I might even write a bit more of a back-story later if anyone is interested. In 0.9.6, all the bookmarks that were promised and are listed in the opening post will be present.

All old links across the forums (except the ones being from the first forum) should now work fully! This applies to the bug report thread, the one for suggestiuons and this one. ;)

Thanks to what @Romulien has worked on, in order to improve the accessibility and simplify the installation of the mod, the mod now has it's own installer for Windows! For other operative systems, we will of course keep the manual downloads accessible, and keep the manual installation process as clear as possible with the video that Volkspark made on Youtube, pictures and clear instructions. For those who had problems with installing the latest release in the past, or have not tested or looked at the mod yet, I have uploaded the installer in the latest release thread. In the future, for the upcoming 0.9.6, it will remain present, together with the manual download. It is currently available in two languages, English and French, but if anyone would like to, I'm sure we could look into making German and Spanish versions.

Here are some pictures for the installer that Romulien made:

I have at the same time, updated the names of the downloads so that they literally say "0.9.5 for 2.3.x", in order to have both the mod and CK2 version clear. In case anyone has any suggestions for adding something to the installer or improving it in any way, I'm sure we could look into implementing it.

When can we expect 0.9.6? Do you have a rough estimation?

Hopefully we can achieve a "technical compatibility" of current development branch with patch 2.4 soon after DLC release, i.e. not taking advantage of any new feature, nor map change etc.
But if either patch 2.4 is unstable, or modding impacts are huge, or some integrated sub-mods are impacted (all of which is not unlikely given the Devs rewrote chunks of CK2 code !), it may take weeks...
Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst ^^

sure you can't have it ready in time for a release on 2.3.4-6 and a subsequent retrofit for 2.4 soon after? or are you guys just like at about a couple weeks away and it'd unnecessary additional work?

I can promise you, 100%, that this is not weeks away from completion. It is months away.

We currently have two things for which we in the dev team (@Enlil being more of an expert on the religions and he is currently not contactable) would appreciate to get some aid in order to make the mod better:
  • Implementing Missing Holy Sites - Currently the following non-islamic religions lack holy sites: Aquileian, Sanamahi, Armazi, Eiateuta (?), Wodenic, Tabitian, Droemnät, Cybelian, Hypsistarian
  • Finding more dynasty names - In general, a lot of cultures are lacking this, so if you somehow happen to be an expert (or just someone who loves aiding and search on the internet) on Dacian dynasty names, we would appreciate your aid! You can see the lists already present in the mod files if necessary.
If you have any potential help in these two domains, post it on this forum/send through PM your contribution!

Hey dudes. I'm a history major and I love this time period. I'll get to work on this:

Great! Either, if you know how to use it, you can directly contribute on GitHub with pullrquests, or you simply post what you have here and we will add it to the mod.
