Hello, welcome! I am Wuz, a newbie modder looking to learn more about how to create new things for the amazing game Stellaris. Right now this page is very bare, but it will hopefully grow with time.
First up we have the first mod I ever made.

Hey, folks. I am new to the whole "mod" thing but the Name lists seemed rather straightforward so I decided to give it a shot. So the first thing I did was look at other Science Fiction universes and asking myself which of them I would have the most interest in working on and there was only really the one Universe that interested me, and that was Star Wars.
So without knowing a single thing I decided to create a planet list, all simple enough. I used this list as a reference. I went into every single planet's Wookiepedia page and did a quick skim to see what kind of biome it was made up of and sorted it accordingly. In case I couldn't find what type of biome it had, or if it was a fortress world or just one big city, then I added them to either the 'Defaults' or under any random planet I felt like I had far too few of. In this case "Anaxes" falling under "Arid World" is such a case, and for that I am sorry.
I also went over a list of ships to take names from corvettes, destroyers and what-not because it was easy. I thought. Turns out doing that was really hard for someone who never really found great interest in ships outside of your average Millenium Falcon.
After that, thanks to both Johan and the wonderful @Tearsdale, I managed to get started on a name list that consisted of a few different names from different factions. I made Jedi and Sith names have less weigh because, well, force-sensitives are supposed to be rare, right? Right, so I didn't want a drastic influx of Jaina Kenobi's and Darth Dooku's (before you burn me at the stake, yes, I know those do not exist but they prove a point.)
What I did for default names was that I went to a brilliant name generator and pretty much copy-pasted all names I got there into my file. I really recommend it if you ever need it for, well, Star Wars things I guess.
