Normally I'd be so inclined as to consider this potential evidence to the contrary. However, you have to remember that the German peoples have never been one for exact measurements. Just look at how they tried to make a copy of the T-34 with the Panther.
Oh, could we also have a flame war whether the T-34 or the Panther was better? I haven't seen one of these in ages and they are always so delightfully absurd.

That's too straightforward, the purser of SMS Schwaben shows the price of shells/coal to the captain. SMS Schwaben surrenders due to the high cost of waging war.

And there you can get the enlightement that Bismarck is just an enlarged Mackensen class battlecruiser... however Bismarck/Baden is an alliteration unlike to Bismarck/Mackensen.
Well the fact is when RAF started operating over France in 1941 they surprised Luftwaffe in Juni. After that from July 41 to the end of the year RAF lost 411 fighters mostly spitfires against 103 German fighters. The year 1942 was not better RAF lost 900 fighters against 113 German fighters.
Yes, FW-190 is a major upgrade over the already good Bf-109. But please do not overlook the enormous advantage the British had during BoB, which the Germans acquired when air ops moved over the Continent: the benefit of fighting over your own radar stations. By this time Freya and Wurzurg, long and short range radars respectively, were fully deployed and integrated with fighter command into air defense networks such as the Kammhuber Line, used to deter the British Bomber Streams . This of course sets off a cat and mouse game between technicians attempting to jam and confuse radars that continues to this day.
Per William Stephenson (Intrepid), the primary reason for conducting the Dieppe Raid was to capture German Radar intact in 1942 for the purpose of developing countermeasures, with an additional benefit of flooding agent provacateurs into the French backfield to aid the Resistance. Britain 'pretended' Dieppe was a catastrophe to cover up the fact it was actually an unmitigated success as an intelligence coup; and great respect to the Allied spec-ops and assault troops used in the operation.
Agree but most of the time during 1941-1942 the jagdgeschwaders in service for the chanel was only JG-2 ( Me-109) and JG-26 (FW-190) .In July 1941 JG 2 shoot down 57 Spitfires for the loss of 4 Me-109 F. So Me-109 could still be usefull.
He is referring to the RAF Circus air offensives where Luftwaffe claims of air kills are documented to be greatly overinflated and their losses greatly under reported.
On Circuses conducted on June 21 and 23, luftwaffe claims a total of 57 fighters killed between JG 2 and 26 against actual RAF losses of 14. During this same operation a bombing run was made against Scharnhorst at the docks of La Pallice, Luftwaffe reports 3 B-17s killed for propaganda reasons when actual loss was one Short Stirling.

FW-190 is a brilliant bomber killer whose performance suffers at high altitude.
Bf-109 G and K variants excel at altitude and are primarily used to engage high altitude fighter escort and allow the FW-190s and 110s to engage the bombers during Allied bombing campaigns.
