I am having an issue with saving the game (both autosave and manual save). Any time I attempt to save my progress, the game says "Save Size too Large - Could not save game because the save size is larger than allowed". I have been playing the game for over a week and have not had this issue before. I have attempted soft and hard reboots, cleaned the disk, and reinstalled the game, but am still having the issue. I am reluctant to delete the save data as I have put a lot of work into the game so far, so any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here; just started today after playing for almost 2 weeks......likely that update....come on guys

...just an fyi. it appears to glitch only when I enter a new area as there are no issues with the existing areas only when i first load a new area and then from then on at every load screen....fun

...well, that theory is gone as I have now been stopped out of 2 already visited areas....1 I was at 3 areas ago......

Thanks for reporting this, we are looking into it. The problem was most likely not introduced by the patch. The error is caused because we are trying to save too much data to the cloud.
 
Thanks; if the possible fix would be expected to take time, if I were to play offline would the issues go away, noting that this would impact Achievements? AT least that would allow us to advance the game.

So, I'll answer the question myself, no, playing offline does not get around the problem. So I assume the game simply won't allow a local save on Xbox......any ETA here as this is kinda breaking the immersion.

Saw there was an xbox patch today..rushed home thinking you fixed the gamebreaking bug......nope....oh well, I hope all the xboxers enjoy the beginning of the game right up until they can't play it anymore.....

How long before this started happening to you? I am 60ish hours in, and just started act 3. I am currently taking a detour to White March though.

I haven't actually experienced this issue, but i was curious if it started at a certain point in the game.
 
I am over 100 hours in; also just started Chapter 3, but I am fully done the White March.....but I am at the Caed siege part and that message popped on the load in screen....now I can't go to any area without that message popping....my save being deleted and only being able to load the last auto save and do the same 5 minutes again....over and over
 
I thought maybe the save was corrupted due to a power surge that I experienced the night before, so I started a whole new character and tried to catch up to the point I was at before. In the first save, I hadn't even finished Act II, but I had done every side quest, task, both expansions, and the entire endless paths, and that is where the error message started popping up. On my second playthrough, I did everything all over again and I just got the error message. Out of curiosity, I did a speed-run on easy mode and avoided most side quests, just going through to the end. I didn't get any error messages on that one, so I guess if you play too much of the game, it shuts down. The loading screens also slow to a crawl. I really need this problem fixed. I would really like to finish the game.
 
The hotfix is soon upon us. We have had issues reproducing the problem ourselves, but we are now confident in a fix we have and are planning to get it out ASAP
 
Same problem here ! I hope this will be patched soon ! Your game is really great ! Great story and gameplay ! But the optimisation for console is so poor, loading a new area is so loooong ! It's really sad... A so good game...
