Long story short I updated it little over an hour ago, since then it’s crashed 13 times, and now the game won’t even launch, I love this game, I really do, but every time they launch a dlc there are major issues like this that follow it,

Is this with a galaxy left over from the previous game patch?
If so, do you also get this issue with a new galaxy started under the new patch?

I got the same issue and it happens on every new game now. Sometimes I get lucky, play for hours and then it happens and no matter what save I load it keeps on happening.
Also had an instance whete I saved the game in the evening and the next day, upon loading it it went crazy with one crash after the other.
Same it’s getting worse now. At first it just happened with the Teachers of the Shroud and Imperial Fiefdom origins in new games but it has started doing it when playing a new game with the Necrophage origin - every time I open the expansion planner it kicks me back to the Xbox Home Screen. It also seems to lag earlier in the game than usual. Even before the mid game (medium size, no change to the growth increase parameters and no xeno-compatibility).
