xp compatibility

I have a problem because i just bought EU II which is an old version. My computer can't install it although i can view at the add/remove programs in the control panel. Moreover, when i click to open the game it would just show a black screen and when i press the window key to look for the task manager it will say not responding. The old EU II reads 98, ME, & 2000. My computer is an XP. I can't wait for next year for EU III that is why i bought it. I have played HoI II and Crusader Kings on this same computer. here are my computer infos

windows xp home edition version 2002 service pack 2
hp pavilion intel pentium 4 cpu 2.60GHz
2.59 GHz, 248 MB of RAM.

is it still possible to run this program?

EU2 should install fine on an XP machine.

I am confussed, you say it will not install then go on to say you click on the game and it says not responding.
So it says that when you try and install the game?

i can't install it properly although it is already in the add/remove programs but it would not run. the autorun screen would only highlight install, register, and exit even though i have perceived i have installed it. i assumed i have installed it because according to the installshield wizard because there is a finish button. However when i downloaded a patch it reads i have to install the game first before running the program.

when i press the install button, it would let me choose modify, repair, and remove. i have repaired it several times that would take 10-15 minutes but when i'm through it would still not run.

Okay please follow the manual uninstall instruction in the sticky thread on the subject.

the uninstall instructions does not apply to my computer because i could not find it in the "regedit instructions". I guessed it was not installed.

here are infos to my problem, i don't know what version is mine, Typhoon Games & Paradox. when i explored the cd and click on the EUII windows installer package it would show internal error 2235 runtime flags, SELECT 'component', RuntimeFlags attributes from component WHERE component = ?.


im hoping for your consideration. thank you!

Ah! Typhoon games has their own installer, and runs their own support for the game, You also need their patches as well, since Pardox patches will not work.
