I know that Werewolf is dead (so dead that this thread hasn't been posted on in years), but for those who are still lurking and want to know, my Jeopardy episode airs in two weeks (April 15).
Awesome. I doubt I’ll be able to watch it live but I’ll catch it whenever it’s available somewhere

Very nice. I hope you won ;)

As for this thread, I'm not sure I've ever posted here :p

Nice!
Here's hoping you did well.

Sadly I'll be unlikely to be able to watch it, as I don't think you can watch jeopardy from abroad. But if its available somewhere I definitely will want to watch it.

But yeah, grats again on finally having made it on. Know you had tried for years to get on it.

It's roughly 30 minutes before it's April 15 on the US East Coast. Show should air within the next 24 hours!

I'm on my old computer, which is having trouble loading this, but maybe the episode will appear on this youtube channel at some point--or highlights from it, at any rate. Can you view any of these, Wagon?

I just tried and I could watch the two random clips I picked to test.

Also, final jeopardy? Jeopardy is ending?

No idea; I don’t watch Jeopardy.
Ah.
It's not been done here for close to 25 years, so I never really have watched it. I did like quiz shows as a child, though.
Albeit, don't really watch any TV these days, so yeah, even if they still made Jeopardy here I probably wouldn't watch it.

No, it's a part of the regular show. Each episode is broken down into three parts. First regular Jeopardy (also sometimes called single Jeopardy). Then Double Jeopardy, which is the same as the first but with dollar amounts doubled. And at the end Final Jeopardy, where there's one question and all contestants wager some portion of their money on getting it right before they see the question.

Ah. Thanks.

Congrats! I saw this just too late to watch it live.

Only the final part is on YouTube at the time of writing this, so no idea how most of it went, albeit the final tally does give me an idea, without knowing who got the doubles, etc. of course.

Sucks that you didn't manage to proceed, albeit even if you'd bet everything and been right, you'd still have been 1 dollar short if I understood it correctly.

Do you get to keep your tally at the end?
Like, did you get to keep the money you had left?
Also, that was a lovely thing with the shoutout to your family at the end there (no idea if it's a common thing to do. Jeopardy hasn't been a thing here for 20 years, as mentioned).

I wouldn't have got the question either. Knew it was Rome, but didn't know it was called the Eternal City. Now, if only it had been the City of World's Desire being asked about.
Out of curiosity what made you say Troy? Or is it Rome was called Troy due to the Aeneid?

In any case, hope you had fun.
I know you'd been working for years to get on the show.
As such then congratulations once more on having made it. A shame you didn't progress to the next day.

BTW, is there a dress code in the show, or do you just prefer being in suit and tie?
I too think suit and tie is the way to go for many occasions. There's just few people doing it these days, hence why I wondered if there perhaps was a dress code mandating it.
