For some reason I'm finding that Yi Ti doesn't reunify after a war and the King-Tier vassals just stay independent. Not really a pressing problem, just thought I would point it out for fixing.

Yeah, some duchies seem to join you directly and then they don't re-join your kingdom. It is a weird glitch.
Do you have a save from when you were in a mega war as Yi Ti and you had this problem please?
