Good Day,

The Console Dev team is working on an update together with the porting of Fate of Iberia at this time. We'll update the community when there's more news to share.
Should we expect an update/fix before Fate of Iberia? Or will the next update be when Fate of Iberia is released?

If it is the second, when Fate of Iberia is released, I worry that current problems will not adequately be addressed. We will instead have more problems with the dlc and the accompanying auto update that everyone receives whether thy buy Fate of Iberia of not.

Sorry for sounding negative but I think more effort should be spent on fixing the current game, improving playability and stability. I just want to play the game without freezing or crashing. I don’t care about future expansion at this point.

Seriously. The game is literally unplayable and has been for several months. My save is in late game and now won’t let me progress one more month without a save game crash

To tie this, very much needed game crippling fix, into a content update comes across as though the devs really don’t grasp the urgency and severity of the situation.

To the Ambassador who posted this info, I feel for you. You’ve popped up and given us a long awaited update, and are met with pot shots in your direction. It’s not intended as such, the ire lies with the devs, lab42 and paradox ultimately.

My fears are more or less confirmed. The severity of the situation is either not realised, cared about, or both. And there’s nothing we can do except spend our money more wisely in future

This isn't clear enough of an answer. As with all Paradox DLC, this will be optional. So will the game breaking bugs be fixed for everyone, including people who don't buy the new DLC? Why are game breaking bugs not being addressed outside of porting DLC? Why has it been like 6 months since any attempt has been made to fix critical bugs, never mind the non-critical ones?

I can honestly say, this being the first paradox title I attempted on console, I will never buy another Paradox console title again. I don't feel that this is toxic. The game isn't playable and it's still on store shelves. Not only that, it's been this way for like half a year with communication that is, frankly, rubbish. You are quite literally selling a broken product. It's not "bugged", it doesn't work period. The handling of this game is so reflective of the quality standards of this once fine company falling across the board. I remember when a situation like this would have been considered unacceptable by Paradox.

I'm not some random nobody, look at my account age and badges. I am a fan from way back.

I don't think they're planing to fix the game. They're working of Fate of Iberia instead of patch, because they want to close their obligation regarding season pass. Once Fate of Iberia is out, they can just abandon the game without ever fixing or refunding.
