So I've got over sixty hours in the game and I've played a few colonies, so I'm starting to think about some enhancements. And it struck me, I can look up how many metals, food, machine parts, etc that were produced or used in the last sol, but I don't have any idea how many were made or used or whatever for the sol before that, or before that and so on. We need graphs!

Seriously, it would be a nice way to manage all the data about your colony from one sol to the next.

Especially in regards to food, since the harvest isn't necessarily everyday, I find it hard to figure out if I'm actually in the green or slowly running out, the uncertainty then leads to an over-investment in farm domes.

YES to historical graphs aplenty!
also, the food production line should include a figure for avaerage food produced per sol over the past several sols. you could compare this with your daily food consumption to know roughly how well you're doing- at least better than what we have now

Totally agree! You can get a micro view of production, but not much of a macro view. And I have yet to see anything regarding consumption (food, metal, polymer, etc.) All I can do is monitor depots.
