So, in my latest "Ageon's Conquest" playthrough, the year is 8143 and In the last 4 years in game I have found a couple of my favorite characters who decided to start their own Host with hopes of taking land.

The first one I found was a pirate lord who wore one of those asshai masks named Igon. Now, he didn't have anything out of the ordinary about himself and the character he had, but I found out that his mother was a Pirate GIANT named Zuma and his father was some normal pirate from the Stormlands. I have a picture of these two, but I can't seem to post it on the thread.

The second one just happened 30 seconds prior to me decididng to make this thread, as a blind, 70 year old dwarf named Emmon Strong decided one day to not only desert from the wall, but then created a gang of outlaws planning on taking on an independant Craster's Keep. I just find something hilarious about a blind dwarf who has spent the last 55 years as a steward on the wall deserting and running a gang of common folk Night Brothers and wildings against a house and, from the looks of it, Edit: Has not only killed the old chief in personal combat but also forced his sun into surrender and rules Craster's keep.

So what's your favorite independant army leaders and what were their struggles? I find myself curious

Ladies of house Arranion, custom High Valyrian house with dragon egg, ruling Painted Valleys. After some time, I became ruler of North Valyria (and New Valyria later, maybe this happened when I was already emperor, I can´t remember exactly) and owned only dragons in the world (I started during Robert´s rebellion).
Up to this point, there were dragons in the world: Neltharion (renamed in save file from Viserion), his sons Shrykos and Deathwing and Shrykos´ offspring Rhaeltherion.

So, this was setup, and now adventurers themselves. There were 2, few years apart. I don´t remember their names, but both of them chose to conquer realms with one county in Summer Isles. Both of them were dragon riders.
Rhaeltherion was killed by some Summer Islander courtier and then his rider lost.
Second invasion was led by rider of Neltharion, the biggest dragon in the world...who got killed by random courtier of that county.
At a time, Summer Islanders caused more dragon deaths than fights between dragonriders (although, I had to reload to previous save due to other reasons with that second one, so Neltharion lived in my game, but still...2 dragon invasions and 2 dragons dead. Good job, ladies, good job.

In my latest Clash of Kings start I began as Dany and through the power of Mien Dragons I was able to obtain the Iron Throne. A century later, now past 8400, The Targaryen dynasty is huge and all hell is about to break. The Vale, Stepstones, Stormlands, Westerlands, and parts of Braavos are held by members of the dynasty and practically all are dragon riders after the influx of aztec dragons about three decades ago. I've already put down a host invasion by an aunt and then a revolt by the husband of that aunt who held the title of Bywater. Sadly with the death of Aerys, slayer of aztecs, Aegor the 'insert number' finds himself in a pickle as his very large family is about to erupt into a new scenario I would like to christen "The Mosh Pit of Dragons" and silly me is the dragon rider of a 10 martial dragon with every potential threat having at least 30.

Dance of Dragons 2: Clusterfuck

That would be one Maelys of Mereen, a Dragonrider bastard of one of Daenerys' daughters who declared an adventurer war on his trueborn brother, Aenys for the Empire of Mereen. Maelys was actually able to kill Aenys in a Dance of Dragons, but lacked the troops to defeat his infant son, Aegon. For some reason, Aegon decided to let Maelys go into exile somewhere in the Free Cities, still with his dragon. He seemed like such a cool character that I decided to keep an eye on him.

Ten years later, and I get an announcement saying Maelys has somehow got himself a claim on the City of Lorath and has launched a war for it! Because Lorath is piss poor, he walked in more or less unopposed and took over the island. Later on he'd go onto conquer the rest of the Lorathi territories. Somehow in the process he fathered about 15 bastards, catching syphilis and getting depressed.

Meanwhile in Mereen, Aegon was so useless he ended up losing his throne via faction demand, then gaining it again, then losing it once more. Because of seniority succession shenanigans, guess who inherited Mereen? Yep, motherfucking Maelys. So now the guy rules an utterly ridiculous looking Empire, still living in Lorath on the Shivering Sea, but calling himself 'Emperor of Mereen', even though Mereen itself somehow ended up independent. 10/10 excellent empire.
