so finally I bought holy fury, play around with the new version of the mod, and this happens...

lol, I had played around in AFFC as well, and when Daenerys died, there was a great council that pitted her husband, Stannis Baratheon, and Drogon against each other for who should succeed her.

For the record, the sane option of Daenerys' husband won, though Stannis got some votes.

Turns out you can have women as patrician and control two mansions with your dynasty:

Free City Weirdness

Independent Old Volantis, independent New Volantis, and a separate City of Volantis that includes neither but has baronies in New and Old Volantis. Not confusing at all.

Kingdom of Pentos splits from the City of Pentos (granted this happens a lot)

The city of Norvos, led by a bearded priest, became independent from the City of Norvos, still led by the High Bearded Priest. To add to the confusion, Qohor took a chunk out of Norvos and separated the territories of the City of Norvos from the city of Norvos.

And no, this wasn't a temporary feature of a civil war, these were permanent changes.

Decided to give the mod another go with all the new expansions, and the fact I'm in full ASOIAF mode for the next weeks (re-reading all the books, great idea I had to stop having a life).
I'm playing as Littlefinger in the Crowned Stag bookmark, which is definitely the most interesting one imo (no scripted chain of events, but still many characters from the books).

Jaime just has an amazing life.
First he left/got kicked out from the Kingsguard at one point, and succeeded Tyrion when he died heirless (Tywin had died earlier, obviously).
Robert eventually found out he and Cersei were in love, and decided to imprison Cersei. She called for Trial by Combat, named Jaime while Robert named Ser Barristan.
uJzy1w2.jpg

You name it, Jaime killed Ser Barristan during the trial by combat and set his sister-lover free.

Still angry about the fact Robert had imprisoned Cersei, and because the guy was being a bit of a tyrant hated by most of the realm, he decided to lead a successful rebellion to depose Robert in favor of his first-born son (who is actually from Robert, not Jaime, would have been even better). The war was swift, and Robert was imprisonned. He called for a trial by combat to free himself, and guess who was selected to face him?

That's another King slayed, although technically right after he was deposed.

This left the young Leobald on the Iron Throne. After coming of age, he insisted to take part in a great tournament to legitimize his rule, but met an ill fate.
Yh44XRv.png

Now I don't know who mangled him during that tournament, but my bet is on Jaime, that would just be too good. And really frightening for poor Patrek I (who is married to one of my daughters with Lysa, so please, don't kill this one).

After so many unfortunate events, he had to cope with the untimely death of Cersei in the Summer Isles (don't ask me what she was doing there married to a lowborn Rhllor worshipping Myrman, I have no idea).
RpdXc37.jpg

As a result, he turned gay, and it's unlikely that he will produce any heir, meaning his uncle will inherit and the main Lannister line will die out. After Jaime killed Barristan and 2-3 kings, and Cersei got lost in the Summer Isles.

As for myself, I managed to marry Lysa, legitimate my bastards with her, marry one of my daughters matrilineally to Harry the Heir, chain murders so that he inherits the Vale after his wedding, and marry the rest of my children to various important families. My son and heir is married to a Sansa Stark, one of my daughters matrilineally to Jon Snow, another one to a Dornish Prince, the only one who does not have a matrilineal marriage is with Patrek. A shame Littlefinger did not realise the power of actually making children with Lysa to secure a strong position. I have NAP with the King, the Riverlands, the North, Dorne, and I'm set to inherit the Vale.

Edit: Oh my god, Jaime went even more epic:
oqAg0zt.jpg

Forced me to chose between two son-in-laws (King Patrek, and Harry the Heir-who-became-LP), so I stayed neutral, although both of them disliked me for it.

Obviously he won:

As for myself, Jon Snow was murdered by god knows who, so I remarried the daughter who was married to him to Ramsay's son, matrilineally too. And I invited Ramsay to my court and made him my spymaster. Quite the alliance with Petyr. We're plotting together to kill his half-brother and all his nephews so that he inherits the Dreadfort. Five down, only two to go.

King Jaime was part of GRRM's original idea for the series

I just had the weirdest single game of this mod I've ever played. What do I mean by weird, you ask? Here's what.

So I started as Jon Arryn during the War of the Usurper, helping Robert win the throne. Alas, Renly died fairly quickly...

Irf9v1u.png

... but that didn't keep Jaime Lannister, who apparently got bored in this timeline, not being a kingslayer, to join the boy's Rainbow Guard... and remain in it even two decades after the kid's death.

OCPyVS2.png

Meanwhile, the Targaryens haven't died out. Rhaegar joined the Company of the Rose over in Essos and remains married to Elia Martell, who is definitely not a bear.

TRbBR0y.png

But at least some sanity remains - while King Beyond the Wall Tormund Giantsbane tries again and again to defeat the Lannister Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Eddard Stark remains the homosexual, fire-obsessed (or should I say... flaming?) drunkard we know and love. Well, until he drank himself to death he did, at least.

Since I also spotted George of the House Martin in this playthrough, I suppose I know who to get onto the Iron Throne in order to put an end to this madness...

Uhm, what happened here?

This must be a huge ass "local tavern" if a King and a Dragon can both drink away their sorrows together.
