Obviously something has been going on behind the scenes, and no doubt Johan and company has been really annoyed with Snowball.

But now, gladly, the game is back in the hands of the people we know produce quality, and perhaps bring it back the lost hype.

I am certain that the good folks at Paradox are quite pissed about this whole thing. After all, with their name associated to the game, it sort of gives Paradox (who is known for their superb public relations and product delivery) a sort of black eye.

Kudos to Paradox for nationalizing the product! :D

I have to agree; Sergie always seemed like a good enough guy but...some of the stories I've been hearing about Snowball; yanni cohani. Its ood to see that the game will be back in good hands; I can't wait to unite the HRE under my ownership or destroy the Normans in England.

I'm glad Paradox is back in charge also, it feels like there is new life in the project. But, I am curious why, if Snowball had such a poor reputation, why they would have been selected to develop the game?

But regardless I'm pleased it seems to be in speedier hands now. Though I would like another screen shot.... I'll be Paradoxs best friend.

Capitalism.
Whoever promises to deliver the cheapest gets the job.

Too bad its often shabby... which is why you should take the 3rd or 2nd cheapest :)

This thread certainly opened my eyes....i now understand this game was being done by someone else, a company called snowball......now paradox has taken up the reigns again. Im sure theres a story in this but i guess the heads know what it is..lol.

Good, im sure the game will be coming with paradox flair to boot now.....excellent!

Can anyone post a thread link to patric or Johan's comments regarding the work of snowball and the state the game was recieved in?

The quote from UD is very telling, but other then that all I can make out of all this is hersay and conjecture setting up a situation where expectations can be lowered for a game thats been in development for years.

I wouldnt doubt its fact, things happen in business but to date all I have seen is a post by a former admin, on another board, reposted by a forum member second hand.

I would say discussing one's partner esp. in this way - is somewhat weird to me... unless some official of Paradox tells how exactly things are - etc. :eek:o

With the search function gone, the possibility to find a comment by Johan is low. But I doubt that such a comment would be done on the public board. Possibly the mod forum?:) And btw, isn't UD back in charge?
Anyway, do you want a link to the thread on Apolyton, Odin? To see the whole discussion I mean?:)

Thanks Nikolai. I read it and its been my expirence with UD that he is a straight shooter and fair, but he dosent bend. The content of his posts however didnt speak to the condition of CK as delivered to Paradox, but his opinion of Snowball as a company.

One comment about "Johan having to fix it" dosent equate to the suppositions in this thread that CK is a shambles. Of course thats just my opinion of how the thread reads it dosent mean I am right, but I havent seen anything other then the post by UD to support what seems to be accepted as fact regarding the state of the game.

Johan and Patric won my loyalty with thier above the call of duty effort on patches 1.03-1.04 for HOI. SF screwed up and couldnt get it on the server (1.03) these guys emailed a few users a Zip file and got it out. It wont deter my support for CK if its a mess its just very disheartening to have been waiting for the project patiently for so long, only to hear now that there were issues with development.

With almost 2 years in the works, I had hoped CK would be the biggest and brightest paradox release thus far, with great stability, smooth interface, great manual documentation, surpassing EUII in popularity, replayablity and community involvement.

I'll still hope.
