So!

Holy Fury is out with all of it’s glory this week!

I just want to say from all of the team that we have been super excited about this release for weeks now and to see the experiences from everyone playing it so far has been so much fun. We’re happy that everyone is enjoying our updates and the things we’ve been tinkering on for the last year.

This week we’ve kept ourselves busy with trying to listen in and gather the things you’re talking about. We’ve noticed a couple of issues that we’re addressing in an upcoming patch, and we are continuing to work on small improvements to make sure the game is in an even better state before going on our winter vacation.

We’re looking forward to hear about your adventures in Holy Fury this weekend! :)

Cheers,

Divine

Really enjoy playing HF! For me, this expansion is the best one for all time.

And, I really glad, that you made Ancona and Raguza Republics playable. Though, one small question - why not Novgorod too? During Middle Ages it was the most powerful Republic in Northern Europe. Will we see it playable in future?

I'm not entirely sure if its not RNG simply generating them, but after the patch, nearly every other character seems to possess the Homosexual trait.
Not sure if this goes into some sort of bug reports thread or not, might have just been a lucky break for my current queen

Holy Fury fixed the issue (in my opinion) with Hellenics having the pagan "wooden" UI theme despite being the center of antique and medieval civilization, which I think is great. However, they still use the wooden theme for flags on characters and units. This bothers me more than it should. Could we please have square flags for Hellenics? Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont feel like it should take too much work to implement.

If there is an Ironman-compatible mod for this (or just making them use the Christian shields like the rest of the UI), someone please let me know.

Have to say that all of you have done a fine job.

I've only scratched the new content but I am loving it. Granted I am ready to murder my husband after seven pregnancies as the queen of Scotland... But it's been great.

And I have so loved reading about the experiences of other people with Holy Fury here and on Reddit.

Kudos.

Thank you all for your kind words and sharing stories from the expansion. The team worked hard and put their love into it, so it's great to see it pay off!

I remember when Holy Fury was presented to me at the end of development of Jade Dragon. I think it went something like this:

Me: "This looks amazing! When can we release it?"
Project Lead: "I'd say November 2018 looks feasible."
Me: "A whole year?! For an expansion! You can't be serious."
Project Lead: "Yup."

Looking back now, I'm glad we took the time we needed, considering how well it turned out. :)
Great DLC. Loving it.
Just don't make whole year dlc development a habit...

Due to this game (especially with Holy Fury) history became my hobby. It's not only the game, it's educational program with superb database.
Thank you for inspiring me to read a lot of books about medieval era!

Can crusade target weights be adjusted based on counties under infidel control?

Playing in the Alexiad start, a crusade keeps targeting Thrace despite 3 counties being under Rûm control, and the rest is Byzantine
Yeah that is pretty annoying. It sort of kind of fits in that the crusaders did help the Byzantines in that area, but that was one of the very few cases where they actually gave territory to the Byzantines. They didn't keep anything there. The proper target for the first crusade should really be Jerusalem

I want to thank the dev team for an excellent DLC. "Holy Fury" is a top-tier DLC experience, and it makes the game more dynamic and interesting. The layering of so many new flavor events and features gives every game an "x-factor" that makes CK2 relentlessly replayable.

Holy Fury is magnificent! And the portraits are exactly what the game needed. The old vanilla ones won't be missed.

I have one little concern, though - Bulgaria in the 8th century. Its starting territory is just waaay too large. As a Bulgarian, I feel kind of flattered but...ruling Adrianopolis? 768 is too early for that. Ruling the Strymon duchy is also quite debatable. Khan Telerig tried to help the Slav rebels there but his control over the province was short-lived. I presume you did it for the balance but I can assure you that even with the historical size of the Bulgarian realm, the challenge is not that big - I tried it before. Please, if possible, give Adrianopolis back to the Empire in the next patch. I can't believe I'm saying that, but here I am, begging for more challenge :)

Can you add a game rule to regarding the visibility of other character's traits?

- Default
- Within diplomatic range (based on diplomatic range restrictions)
- Unknown (you have to interact with them in any shape or form or have had one of your cabinet members do any mission in their territory)

Also a house rule to increase penalty relation for foreign cultures to limit marriages between lower ranked title characters. Its strange to have an Irish count marry a Bulgarian count or a Russian count to marry a Dutch count. It should be more common as the titles go up in rank like king and emperor. Even then, characters should prioritize localized marriages to expand their territory in the vicinity rather than to have scattered domains which are harder to defend and maintain.

Must be said, you guys have done an absolutely fantastic job on this expansion. The content that you have added is phenomenal. Having played a Byzantium game and a Swedish reformation campaign, the game has just been transformed. Thanks for all the hours of work, keep it up!

Whenever I attempt to edit a religion in the world editor section of a random world, it doesn't stick in the actual game. The religion I end up with is randomized.

Are you actually saving your changes rather than just making them and hitting the back button? I might have done that a couple (dozen) times...

Speaking of saving stuff, it would be nice if there was a way to save random worlds so you could come back later and replay them as a different ruler. (Or is this another thing that you actually can do and I'm just missing it?) Lost a really cool looking random world (merchant republic in Iceland with a couple extra provinces in Norway) after accidentally starting it as the wrong country. But even leaving aside user stupidity, there are a couple interesting countries in my current random world and I'm kinda bummed I'll only get to play one of them.
