Hello!

We have now released Great Works and we hope you are as pleased with the result as we are. We are aware that there are a few issues here and there (Who knew Chalkidike was uninhabited right up until the 8th century?), but we have fixed many of these issues internally and will continue to do so. Also if you find any issues make sure to report them on the bug forum.

We’re not quite ready to announce when it will be out, but we are currently working on a bug fix patch. There will also hopefully be a few fun updates as well. Let us know which issues are bothering you the most as it can help us prioritize.

Have a great weekend and thank you for your feedback so far.

I wonder if your findings on these reports is also the reason for not being able to secretly convert to Nestorian as the Hindu ruler of the Mahoyadapuram holy site in 769? Here's that bug report: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ahoyadapuram-holy-site.1150962/#post-25146658

Yes, that's correct. All characters are unable to secretly convert to Christianity from provinces, and Christian characters are unable to secretly convert to any religion except by event. Secret Zoroastrians are also unable to become public Zoroastrians.

edit: I'm wrong about this one. The holy site decisions are not affected by the bugs I reported, only trying to convert from non-holy site counties. There's something else going on with the holy site placement.

edit 2: I'm wrong about being wrong. It's caused by the same issue I found. I'll post about it in the thread you linked.

Not a bug report, but a modding request: would it be possible to get commands to allow great works type to be changed through events? e.g. allowing a christian ruler to convert a pagan temple to a cathedral.

If you marry a character X, divorce them, and marry them again, you get the prestige boost/penalty again (and again, and again...). This lends itself to all kinds of abuse.

I imagine this is not WAD. Probably the prestige trade between any given couple should only happen the first time they marry.

So first time post, I think there is a bug for "reformed pagans". Playing as an emperor of Scandinavia who also reformed the Norse religion, but for some reason the great library is not shown as an option, nor is the grand university (which I have the proper legalism and tolerance for).

Am I missing something or is this actually a bug?

Also the steward improve construction speed doesn't seem to affect the build time for wonders, although that could very well just be as intended.

Most pagans (apart from hellenic ones) doesn't have access to library and university.

Bugs:

- The text doesn't display correctly in the entire allocated space. Consequently, all of the text does not show.
- My first wonder was a great cathedral, and now all other wonders offer 'Cathedral Retinue'.
- I'm 99% sure brewery gifts were available for me before the brewery upgrade was finished. Possibly WAD but strikes me as unlikely to be intended.

Unfinished development / inconsistencies:

- Descriptions are too laconic and not informative. In most cases you can't really guess the effect of an upgrade. If you hover over your ruler's stats, you will notice bonuses from wonders and their upgrades, but not on the wonder screen or while building. This contrasts with the game's general habit of telling you exactly what will happen, especially if character stats or province stats are involved. So there is an inconsistency, and this looks unfinished.
- Across several (9 IIRC) wonders and upgrades, the tomb even (for 50/100 gold) seems to appear rather frequently but also be the only variety of a flavour event you can encounter during construction, forked out into two paths depending on Architect/Erudite (presumably something bad happens if you don't have the knowledge to proceed with caution). Some more variety would be great.
- Also the tomb event itself could use more options, being limited to the charity vs greed dilemma of keeping the whole loot or sharing, but the game seems to see no potential dilemma in grave looting, while a pious character might want to abstain from that or have some second thoughts. Also, the loot is always good, while the description suggests artifacts. A random rusty weapon or something would be quite fitting.

The first positions in both categories make it look like the decision to release was premature. There is a strong beta feel. This is a free feature, not a paid DLC, but it still becomes a mandatory part of vanilla, not an optional mod, so it shouldn't stand out like this from the general quality level/design assumptions of the whole game.

Kudos for the idea itself, though. I positively love it. I love anything that gives more variety to provinces — all sorts of modifiers, special holdings, unique buildings, prosperity (along with the +1 holding event), etc. That was a very good design direction to choose, and I'm hoping for more along the same lines.

It would be nice if there was an estimated finish date for the monuments. Right now it only gives a percentage, which is to hard to guage because it doesn't seem to record the start date anywhere. Yes, I know you can pause it, which would change the finish date, but I assume that the estimate finish date would update accordingly.

Here's three more bug reports to consider for the next patch.
  1. Unable to imprison vassals who are indentified as the killer of your spymaster or heir without incurring tyranny: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...vassal-who-murders-my-spymaster-heir.1165891/
  2. Muslims incur prestige penalties from marriages when they are listed on the right of the arrange marriage pop-up: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ygamy-prestige-problem.1129347/#post-25011754
  3. Not able to to openly adopt your faith if you are a secret Christian or Zoroastrian: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ahoyadapuram-holy-site.1150962/#post-25329812

Not seeing the issue, a shit Pope obviously is going to abuse his power.

Shit Popes should catch hell for doing that. In a game where even Known Murderers can get of free for killing the King's son because it would be "Tyrannical" to arrest a Known Murderer. If Rulers and other AI don't get free passes, neither should the Pope.

If the Devs can't see their way to reworking Papal AI to hit appropriate targets, they could at least arrange for some downsides if a Chaste Virtuous Ruler gets hit by a Hedonistic, Slothful pope.

At least, other Rulers should be allowed to look at the Pope, and the Excomm victim, and decide for themselves.

Would you kindly hide all of the interface buttons that don't work because I don't have the coindicing DLC? Seeing them all at once, after only the Bloodlines one showing with Holy Fury, is a bit jarring and makes me feel a little uncomfortable with being cheap.

Forgot to mention: the bug that happened with god names when you reformed a pagan religion. The one where they all merged into one string upon reload. Would love to see that fixed. It's a great concept, it would be terrible if it went to waste.
