Sadly there is not enough time to add them now for the release, but perhaps for a war effort yes.I'm looking forward to this new content, it looks very interesting. Would you consider adding two new formable nations to this effort:
Pretty please with sugar on top.
The US gets a wargoal on Brazil if it fails to join the Allies in a timely manner and it also has options to diplomatically isolate it should Brazil go communist etc.Is the Plan Rubber (US plan to invade and secure the rubber fields in Brazil) included in the game?
Each country has some way of forming a continental union, some may be more difficult/less realistic than others of courseSeeing the South American nation as a whole, will all countries in South America be able to form a South American union?
Next week I'll be showing alt history Brazil and will also include some of the new portraits for historical/generals tooAny chance of us getting to see the new portraits for Brazil?
Who knows, maybe this is already in the gamePlease say you'll make Y Wladfa (Welsh Patagonia) releasable in Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego Provinces hahahahah!
Though a minority by WW2, prior to the early 20th century the 3 provinces were primarily Welsh (becoming a minority with a wave of immigration during and after WW1).
I'd love to have them releasable as a goal for a released Wales to either core or puppet, small addition but some nice content for a released Wales player or even an expansionist UK player to puppet! (Could even throw the Falklands in with it to a form British/Welsh South America).
(However, if not all three states mentioned can be added to a releasable Wladfa, Chubut is where the heaviest concentration of Welsh remained by the games time-frame, centered around Gaiman, Trevelin (Trefelin), Trelew and Puerto Madryn (Porth Madryn - the original landing site of the colonists).
The Historical flag used on the left, and the modern one in current use on the right (if anyone was interested)

They have also been fixed with this patch.@AveeBee
Could you comment on the 'Maritime Colonial Railway' focus for Canada? You claimed to have added 2 civs, but those were already in the game with one of the monthly updates previous year (more or less a year ago), but If I see the picture correct, you meant the focus is patched and will now add 2 buildings slots, which it did not before the upcoming update.
If that is true, would you also please fix the Canadian focuses ' John Inglis and Company' and 'Victory Aircraft Limited' they also lack building slots for the factories they add just like 'Maritime Colonial Railway' did...
German ships of type "Schiff" are genderless "das Bismarck", with the full formal name being "Der Schlachtschiff Bismarck" or "Das Panzerschiff Admiral Graf Spee". normally crews informally referred to ships as "sie" (she) apart from the Battleship Bismarck which was a "he" for reasons decided by Captain Lindemann.Regarding Battle of the River Plate: Shouldn't the German ship be referred to as 'her' and not 'it'?
I don't have the original source to hand but it comes from the Bismarck sinking survivor Baron Von Mullenheim-Rechberg who claimed it in"Battleship Bismarck: A Survivor's Story" from what I know. Not trying to be combative, but i would really like to see your source for Captain Lindemann deciding using "der Bismarck" for some reason.
As somebody who speaks German as his 2nd mother tongue this is sadly not entirely correct. But the event still is.
While "Schiff" is indeed genderless, the full formal name would be always "Das Schlachtschiff/Panzerschiff/Containerschiff xxxx". The main noun "Schiff" determines the article of the entire combined noun. However when only refered to by the name, it would have been "sie" (she). Also in the case of the Bismarck as this is also the way it is used in all German publications afaik. Not trying to be combative, but i would really like to see your source for Captain Lindemann deciding using "der Bismarck" for some reason.
The only case in which you would correctly say "... der Bismarck" is when referring to it in a different grammatical form of "Die Bismarck". Applying the genetive case (i hope my 5th grade grammer still checks out) would for example produce the sentence "Der Tiefgang der Bismarck ist 9,9 m" (The draft of the Bismarck is 9.9 m) from the neutral (and in this case feminine) "Die Bismarck hat einen Tiefgang von 9,9 m" (The Bismarck has a draft of 9.9 m).
And coming back to the to event, you'd likely refer to the ship, the "Schiff" in this case. So calling it "it" is completely correct to use.
Yes and no. "das Schlachtschiff Bismark" is correct when you write it out. When you use a abrivitation how "BB" or "SMS" it will be feminin. Nobody will say "die Schlachtschiff B..." But in germany we say most "die Bismark". Self in newspaper articel and TV reports. We say to "die Tirpitz" or "die or der Bismark Klasse" (the Bismark Class). Same with Heavy Cruiser. "Der schwere Kreuzer Blücher" vs "Die Blücher".
All Shipnames are female exept. Only in the case of things and animal names does the gender of the name usually remain the same, but feminine gender is also possible. It was Wilhelm the II order to "change" from "dem" to "die" at male names. But just as you say "Das Schlachtschiff B..." can you say "dem Schlachtschiff B..." even today when you use it in a sentence. But don't make it too complicated. In German all cats are "female = die" and all dogs are "male = der". Things only get complicated with der/die/ das Nutella.
She is indeed! It is possible that Eva peron will be a possible exclusive Advisor for Peronist path of Argentina. Let' s remember that this lady was someone very influential , especially the popular classes .and very relevant figure in the peronist period an beyond .
That's just an oversight. There's code to prioritise Montevideo and if not pick something else, but apparently it doesn't take into account the 25 cap@CraniumMuppet
Sorry for the ping, but since the focus trees on Paraguay/Uruguay are your creation, I think its probably you who interested in feedback for them as well
First of all, let me thank you for adding them - for what you described as initial small side project it has matured into something having me motivated to start my first ToA game with; I'm currently buildering around as Uruguay. What I noticed quickly fast is that big number of "free" buildings and (even more) slots you can get from the focus tree. That surely falls in line with the idea of building the country up while staying out of a war until late game, but especially for the slot count I wonder how the potential free slots are designed together with the 25 per state cap (which is too my understanding a strictly hard one). My feeling is that at least in case of my capital state Montevideo it likely to hit that one sooner or later, if you really make your way through the NF and at the same time pick up the usual concentrated/dispersed industriel techs, which would mean that further boni would get lost at some point.
To illustrate here is the math: Montevideo starts out as "Dense Urban Region", which means 8 base slots. With Industry V tech that will later balloon to 16, which leaves 9 slots up to the cap to be acquired by different means. However, there is quite a couple of none-exclusive focii adding slots to Montevideo, namely (in brackets free buildings) :
- Land Improvements +2
- Beef and Hide Industry +2 (2)
- Wool Makers +1
- Allow Nazi Movements Among German-Uruguayan +2 (2)
- A domectic aircraft industry +2 (2)
- Right to food housing and health +1 / +2-4*
- Enlarge the Naval facilities +2 (2)
- Mercado Modelo +3 (1)
- Conaprole +1 (1)
- Pluna +2 (1)
- La Teja Refinery +2 (2)
- Legalize the Pool +1 (1)
*on top that one ups the region type to Metropolis, which adds another 2 base slots respectively 4 with full ind. tech, which technically limits "capacity for bonus slots after maxed ind. tech* to 5!
Thats (even when leaving out "Right to food, housing and health") +20(!) potential extra slots for Montevideo (not counting that there is also advisor increasing building slots and landowners being able to create) Unless my math is wrong or I should have missed out that some of these focii are exclusive...is that intended? In the sense you "can do anything, but not everything"? Or does the potential target state switches away from Montevideo in case you conquer territory?
