I was under the impression it was the "* Added game launch option -bajen" thing.
What does that game launch option do?

So hypeeeeed.
Now I just have to wait for "Dystopia" which surely will bring mega weapons, and the patch that will include the ever eluding civilian trade. Then Stellaris will be the indicutable king of space strategy.
A diplomacy expansion would be cool too I guess...

As slavery is decided by race, is it possible to enslave part of your starting race in the beginning? Enslaved worker ants working farms/mines of the home planet under Authoritarian queen.

Authoritarian get caste system which enables it for full citizen or residency which species will be enslaved if they are on farms or mines.

3 Ascension trees, huh? With the introduction of robots and the Shroud, I hope this means that eventually you get to do something with related crises. I mean, making your pops a robot might mean that you might get to lead the robot rebellion, if you hacked into enemy robots. And the Shroud might be where the Unbidden are, you never know. Also, maybe gene-modding your pops might lead to friendly communication with the Scourge. This is just an idea, but maybe Paradox can make this happen. ;)

So I really like the patch notes, however:

It's clear from this one line that Paradox either doesn't know that the Stellaris multiplayer meta is and has been dominated by militaristic authoritarians, or that they just don't care. This change will make stellaris multiplayer even more one dimensional, despite everything else in these awesome patch notes. I love everything else in here, but my heart sank when I saw this----mp games will not be any deeper or more interesting than they have been because of this one change. Frankly, they needed to do more to nerf slaver-conqueror empires, not make rushing the obvious choice. Single player will be improved immensely by this patch. Mulitplayer will stay the same or be even worse.

I disagree, quite the opposite is my opinion. So many interesting choices of strategy now, and you don't research the colony ship. A deeper colonizing cost was needed.
