While we're on the topic of bugfixes, one (minor) issue that's been there since launch is that some AI diplomatic greetings still use the generic "Greetings!" message. For example, in cases where the player is a vassal/tributary, the AI overlord seems to lack meaningful dialogue, and the response to a bunch of normal diplomatic actions (e.g. trade, war declaration) just becomes "Greetings!". Which feels awkward, to say the least. I'm sure there are other instances where that happens, too, but that's the one I can think of right now.

It was great to see in the stream today that hive minds are being buffed, as they've turned out to be one of my favorite things about the Utopia expansion.

Are there plans, at least in the near future, to add alternative flavour text to some of the events for hive mind empires to make them more appropriate?

Curious to see what you do to combat - personally I'm fine with "doomstacks" and the current system seems very micro-free, I can just build my navy (preferably with a weapon and equipment setup to counter my enemy if I've scouted them, or otherwise a balanced build), set it on an aggressive stance and point it at the enemy - various proposed systems I've read always leave me groaning at the massive amount of extra effort I'd have to put in to manage the wide verity of new systems proposed

  • More story events and reactive narratives that give a sense of an unfolding story as you play.

Definitely my favourite feature on this list. I threw out some ideas over on reddit for a few types of events I thought could help make our empires feel more alive. Also more anomalies, please!

One suggestion I would like to add is that it'd be nice to have.... basically a counter that runs in the background to track how many times you've seen each anomaly/event and can dynamically change the weighting so you don't see, for instance, the giant bones event 10+++ times per game but instead would ramp up your chances of seeing the rarer anomaly events (from looking at reddit and watching LPs I've seen anomalies / anomaly outcomes that I've never personally found in game). I realise this is probably quite a complex system to actually implement, but I think it'd be a very positive change.

All this said I'd definitely prefer more bugfixes sooner rather than any amount of new features.

If you're talking about an update that is all about QoL changes: please let us outfit all armies on a planet (sorted by assault / defence) with "modules" with one click, instead of having to go through max 25 armies one by one just to give them a little upgrade...

Say wiz, maybe a rework of defensive structures and all. Maybe even add a defensive megastructure, and tie it into the pacifist ethic. Plus if your xenophobe, have a buff to all defensive station HP and damage.

Also, in a QoL update, I think it would be time to change the war demands interface, which is horrible. Having to type the beginning of every system you want is not good ergonomy. Instead, let us directly click on the galaxy as when we do when we are adding sectors. To select individual planets, make a dropdown list accessible by right clicking in which we could select the planet we want.
Damn true! The interface looks like from a pre-release version...

We need espionage!!
Not true!

There needs to be civil wars and secession attempts when your empire starts to get huge. It shouldn't be something you can easily manage. It should be practically inevitable that it will happen at least once or twice during a 200-300 year campaign. And should come with its own events and story like crises.

Reworks to war to address the 'doomstacks' issue and make the strategic and tactical layers of warfare more interesting and less micro-intensive.

Most important thing as far as I am concerned. This is what has kept me from enjoying this game.

You need to add "Add EU4's diplomacy system" to that to-do list. Diplomacy as it is is so barebone that it's bordering on useless.

I have asked in a couple threads, on twitter, and in a twitch stream but never heard a reply on this, but would really like to know.

Is there now or plan to be a way to auto generate ship design names from the race dictionary. The default ship designs receive them as you unlock tech. A way to get another name from the list for user created ship designs would be awesome.

Thank you.

Build fleets not ships!

Instead of building one ship at a time from a spaceport. Create a fleet designer mechanic so that the player can create a fleet 'template' which is then built and resupplied automatically by all the spaceports. Limiting the size and number of fleets which can be increased through research, traits etc
However, on the topic of spaceports. Why are they so cheap? I think there should be an actual shipyard which is expensive to build maintain and be limited in number, ie same as the number of fleets. This would make the systems where they are built strategically more important.
As for the doomstack. I've already mentioned limited fleets size, but what about an attrition factor for the number of fleets in each system. So the supply requirement would increase the more fleets in a system, if the requirement is not met then there is a loss to combat effectiveness. If there are too many fleets in the system, it leads to logistical problems and attrition to combat effectiveness.

A few ideas.

P.s. Defense stations and fortresses SUCK! Waste of money and time.

Biggest issue? Lag. No idea where it comes from but when it takes 5 MINUTES to cycle a month on "fastest" something is definitely wrong. Having it come and go depending on what you are looking at makes it very frustrating.

In addition to an "upgrade all" button to Armies also one for planets to clear all blockers and build all buildings./ clear tiles.

More ship design options are good.

Where are Supernova's.? There should be 2 or 3 per game obliterating systems after an advance warning to all life to get out of Dodge. Many possibilities here, research projects to prevent it, evacuate, have it leave behind minerals/energy on dead planets etc.

So far the game is EXCELLENT !

I just want to say, I think utopia has been a good addition to the game and, except for a few minor bugs - I'm impressed with it.

Really liking the faction system!

I noticed the lag on Single Player while my friend, who has a much better machine, has no lag. I get 1 or 2 days per second on fastest, while my friend gets a whole month in 5 seconds...
