What I'm wondering is, how will The Contingency affect an empire that's on the way to synthetic ascension, that has AI rights? Will they be brutally screwed over if the crisis happens in between researching synthetics and completing the ascension project?

Machines laying dormant to awaken at the opportune time to wipe biological life from the galaxy? I'm getting a mass effect vibe here.
Really looking forward to the new update and dlc!

Then you find them in the neighbouring system. "Oh sh*t!"

@Wiz
I got a super important question before release. Does primitive civilizations "take" habitable worlds or do they create their own? Is the amount of primitives civilizations you get dependant on any of the other sliders aswell?

You might want to clarify that. I THINK I know what you mean but not 100% certain.

Yes I was afraid of that. I was wondering if you have 100 habitable planets in your galaxy and 20 primitive civilizations will the amount of primitive civs you have pick from tthe habitable planets pool meaning there will only be 80 habitable planets left. Or do they add 20 new habitable planets in addition to the 100 you get in wich the primitive civilizations live?

Also is the number of primitives civs a % of habitable planets or systems available or is it a flat amount.

Just now I got a answer from wiz! First of all primitive civilizations does scale with galaxy size just like habitable worlds do.

Primitive civs does not take habitable worlds but make new ones depending on the slider and galaxy size.

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum to report a problem with this new event.

The Contingency - Blocking the Ghost Signal sub quest - crashed the game once i finish research.

I've noticed. I hope they let us dial the number of primitive civs even higher and the habitable worlds even lower so there are barely any habitable worlds without primitives or presapients on them.
