Will this game be like Imperator where you can’t make everyone happy or optimize everything but just build where you think you could make more money/have more bonuses?

I ask mainly out of curiosity. Why was it more important to seperate amber and pearls from gems than it was to make multiple spices? The only real reason I could come up with would be that it was too misleading to have gems along the Prussian coast like in EU4, if so could a renaming of the good have achieved the same? something like "luxury materials" (although that would probably be too long of a name)
Slaves are found only in Africa ? they can be found in other regions as well ? For example, in the Ottoman Empire, there were white slaves, such as those brought from Russia by Tatars and those captured by Berbers during raids in Europe.
How is slavery and the "slave" good going to work? Will it be an input for certain buildings, or can it serve as a substitute for labor in general?
Don't fur and wild game or lacquerware and porcelain overlap a lot in origin and purpose? If you're gonna hunt, you are highly likely to eat the animal as well and vice versa, you'd use the skin if you eat it. and porcelain and lacquerware are both luxury goods of similar origin and appeal
Why is wool the first source of food? I have personally never had a wool sandwich, but hey, new year new experiences.
Seriously, cool stuff Johan, can't wait for this game to come out.
I suspect this is because they’re using clay to portray things like pottery and bricks, but I agree pottery should be its own good, albeit an inexpensive one. Gonna be making a post suggesting additional manufactured goods.
Could I also wage war on legumes (and soybeans) replacing them with potatoes/maize? I wish to finally destroy my arch enemies.
It's weird to me that liquor and beer are produced goods but wine is a raw good. Maybe it should be produced by a "vineyard" or "winery" building with fruit and wood (for barrels) as input
Clothings and furnitures are also goods that exist in Vicky and could be added here too in both a common and luxsurious variaties
Gorgeous icons, and an extensive list of trade goods. I love it.
I am surprised that the prices for goods concentrated in east Asia aren't somewhat higher, though. European demand for them was perhaps the strongest driver of exploration, colonization, and overseas conquest. Will there be historical events that alter global prices like there are in EU4?
The description for Iron says it includes Steel, but then you have Steel as a separate good. The end date for the game is a bit too early for the revolution in steel production so I'm assuming you're not intending that to represent modern steels.
Aye, medicaments are probably the stand-in for opium, but they're awkwardly cheap for it. I get you don't have many locations with them, but it's still a tad strange to have such a low base price.
Does this mean that horses produced in Potsdam would sooner go to a regiment in Copenhagen than one in Berlin?
