Also, I think you can pass this on your own, at least the partial pass. And I don't know if we can trust El Prez, too. Wouldn't have been able to make a significant contribution, and I have not "glimpsed" the DD yet, would rather save cards to make sure I can contro... I mean, help you out on more important checks :)

Are you sure you still have all the cards you're playing in there? If my card count is correct you'd be on -1 cards after that play ..

edit: As an aside, I hope we don't overshoot this one by a mile, too. We do have to try to be a bit efficient with these checks ..

Very good. That clears at least one of us. I suggest he moves to somewhere useful, like the Pegasus Main batteries, so that we can XO him as needed :)
Though an XO on him right now would help with shooting the heavy, I reckon.
Then again, we're not that far from jumping.

I don't mind discarding something myself. mgraham has no cards. Reis can just ignore the discard and draw TRE.*
So it's up to EL and gezax. If they don't mind discarding something useless we can probably deal with this. Especially if we have a At Any Cost handy somewhere to turn TRE into positive strength on another skill check.

edit: Speaking of reis91 - he didn't get a Super Crisis at the start of the game, did he? (I don't think Cylon Leaders are supposed to start with any.)

Yeah. While the New Caprica phase means having to deal with losing some civvies somewhere let's not start getting rid of them before we really have to ;-)

If we had played a preventive policy population, then I would blow two of them, but given that we lose what is in them, I think it better to keep it at one for now.

Why on earth would we have done that? There was no way to know what kind of crisis we'd get.
On top of that, I'd *still* recommend only blowing one ship in that case. Let's try not to get more resources lost than we absolutely have to, for now.
When the sleeper phase approaches we may have to do stuff like this but we're far from it right now.

edit: Btw, EL, do you have anything useful in that quorum hand?
I don't think you can tell us -exactly-, but maybe you can give us some very general idea of whether they're the kind of cards that may be useful to play right now :p

Exactly why I picked on. The reason why I would blow two if we had preventive policy population, is that it would reduce the population loss by 1, and blowing two makes it almost certain that we would prevent a population loss. The key I found in my games to deal with New Capira is to reduce Civilian ships as far as you can without losing what they have on them.

As for the Q Deck, Right now they would be a lot more useful if I knew who the cylon is. However if Reis91 wants to infiltrate, I can make his life living hell.

Don't think I can say more then that, but I think that should give you an idea what I got.

No, I did not. It may happen that my single TRE card wasn't RSC, though. Or the check wasn't vital to my goals. You're going to have to live with me spiking checks occasionally whether they match my goals, and hope my support on the others (via Glimpse and other cards) outweighs any damage I may cause.
And no, I did not. I'd have to be sent to the Ress Ship for one, right?
