Our glorious nation of Almeida thanks you for attending this assembly. The People of Almeida thank you.
It is your duty, from now on, to discuss the topic of who shall succeed our most esteemed Doge Carboni to the Presidency, after the unfortunate death of our nation's most glorious and outspoken patriot. The official deadline for your decision shall be 7 days, although you shall be given this day and night to rest and think upon what you will say when the Assembly convenes tomorrow. If you have not reached a decision within 7 days, the deadline shall be extended, but I would wish to note that such an extension may cause unnecessary panic and disorder among the People of Almeida.
The Assembly shall convene tomorrow at 10:00 hours.

Relatively free. Most of Almeida's income comes from tariffs, direct trade, and oil exports. There are fees for citizenship and work visas, but people with rare skills are actively encouraged to immigrate with cash incentives. Emigration, on the other hand, is frowned upon and discouraged except for by the poorly-skilled elderly.
