Shapping the land

Having rested after the massive enterprise that was Ragnaz's peak and his palace, Ragnaz decided to travel through the mainland and shape the plain land. Where he passed he created hills, mountains and valleys , on the southern part of the continent he built a large canyon which he called the Tessex Canyons however his master work was beneath the earth, all around the main continent he built a massive and labyrinthic cave complex, which he called the Delmor Underground.

On a whim he decided to spread thorough the land underground cameras filled with a gas that is both flammable and lighter than air, he wondered how mortals would react to it.

Satisfied with his work he went back to the peak to plan his next project, he still had big plans for the caves but he heard of Kip's challenge and decided to head the call.

Name: Crouton

Appearance: As his name suggest he looks like a square and seasoned Crouton. His extremely calm demeanor in any kind of situation, regardless of how stressful, often impresses other creatures. His impassibility is hardly matched by any other god. He is said to be crunchy and salty in flavor.

Gender: Asexual

Bio: Crouton's age is a mystery, and he is quite defensive regarding the matter. He would dread people to think he is going stale. The truth is that he was born when culinary became an art, and has spread his crumbly influence across all chef schools, mortal or immortal.

He is said to inspire culinary artists in their works, and that no new food is invented without his approval. He is also known to play wicked tricks with dreaming people, appearing as food and disappearing right at the moment they try to eat him.

God Of:
-Major: Food, Consumption
-Minor: Bread, Crust, Crunchiness

Name: Asindur
Gender: Undefined
Appearance: Asindur is represented by white smoke that roughly resembles an eagle in shape. The only distinctive features he has are his eyes; they are bright red and look like flames from far away. They sometimes shed tears of fire. Those that are touched by the tears of Asindur are said to be cursed to a lifetime of seeking answers to questions that cannot be answered by a mortal.
Biography: No one knows where Asindur came from. He has no voice, he has no personality and his appearance is clouded in mystery. Some mistake him for clouds; some believe he is just an omen and not a true God. It is possible that he holds all the knowledge in the universe but it also possible that he holds no knowledge at all. He does not show love or hate, he does not interact and he strays away from contact with the others.
Major: Secrets that cannot be learned, Truths that cannot be uncovered, Disbelief in that what seems already proven
Minor: Philosophy, the Pursuit of Answers

There can be any magic you as a player make. For example, the God of Death could make necromancy. Also, if someone joins as the God of Magic, the can make a normal form of magic and regulate it.

And I haven't had access to a computer for a while, so I'm just on my phone. That's why I can't edit the player list or make a map.

Next, the great forest can't get too much bigger, because it's already pretty large. And so far we only have one monster. The most creative monster wins, and all the losing monsters will still remain for mortals to fight.

Also, the world creation phase will end in about two or three days, depending on how filled the world gets.

Lastly, only two major spheres of influence please. And can we keep the powers to two or three words, so unlearnable secrets instead of "secrets that cannot be learned?

OOC: Which one is the great forest? Also, what do you mean we only have one monster? I am perplexed.

Sorry I meant to write dark forest. And I pretty sure we only have on monster entered for the contest, right?

Sorry I meant to write dark forest. And I pretty sure we only have on monster entered for the contest, right?

OOC: Was it that large? Oh well. Also, I thought any monster/creature we make would count for the contest, no matter if it was made specifically for it or not. Well, not important, but I was confused. Thank you for clearing that up.

It's nit too large, but we hav a lot of gods and I don't want it to take up all the land. And I could take o e of your monsters if you specify one type. But I would rather it be a single monster rather than a race of monsters.

Asindur descended from the heavens, spreading his mighty wings. He left a trail of smoke across the sky, as he swooped down and hovered mere centimetres above the waters of the vast oceans. He flew and flew, gazing at that what the others have already placed. He disapproved. The others seemed to take this as a race; they destroyed nothingness and replaced it with matter. Nothingness was better than matter. It held no questions; it was not mysterious and could be easily ignored. Asindur shed tears of fire upon the surface of the wide seas; and where his tears dropped rocky islands came up. But they were not habitable. They were sharp, hot and barely accessible. The God of Disbelief took a wide turn and sat perched atop one of the jagged rocks. He tried to scream but he couldn’t – he was cursed with the inability to share knowledge. He could already foresee great civilizations rising on the main island. He could foresee science and philosophy boosting the simple humanoids into an era of seemingly complete knowledge. But they would never reach a point where they knew everything. There would always be a hidden truth, a meaning that no one has yet understood. So Asindur rose above the rock and shed some of his body on top of it. The jagged surface began to crumble and erode until it was fairly flat. There the God built his library; a grand tower, rising far into the skies, made of uniform black rock and with no windows and only one small entrance. Inside were huge shelves filled with books and scrolls - the only problem was that not a single written word was to be found inside them. He then proceeded to create the Librarian – a tall creature with no lips, eyes or ears. The spawn was as black as the rock on which it stood and wore robes of clear white linen. Not unlike Asindur it had no gender or voice, and it’s only purpose was to maintain the books. As the other Gods compiled more knowledge and information, more and more books from Asindurs Library would be thrown into the deep ocean. The tower itself would crumble and slowly recede back into the waters, but it would never fully submerge. There would always be one scroll left. One blank scroll that would never give up its information. One blank scroll that the Librarians of Asindur would strive to protect and preserve, even if it cost them their existence.

And so the archipelago of rocks arose, far north from the main island. Thus far it was not visible from the shores but Asindur was sure that one God or another would soon take an interest in it. But for now it was safe in this refuge of barren sharp rocks.

OOC: You are misinterpreting its size. It started out tiny, but then spread to slightly larger than the last map you posted. It in no way takes up all the continent, not even close.

I know, but just don't make it too much bigger, okay? The sentient races need to expand, and other gods have to make their realms. Just listen to the GM.

If their is space later you can make it bigger. For now don't do much more than maybe double it's size.

From the writings of Abd al-Hatara

The Watchers are mysterious creatures, resembling humans in a way, though there is still something about them that fills one with a distinct feeling of unease. Their appearance is that of unnaturally tall, lanky, and skeletal humans, with their faces perpetually shadowed, and much of their body robed in dark shadows.

Once, during my travels on the outskirts of the Dark Forest, I spotted a Watcher standing at the edge of the forest. Its face was slightly visible due to the light cast by the sun. It was a sight that I did not want to see again. What I could see of the face looked vaguely like a human skull, though that was merely the lower part. Its nose also was that like a human skull, being simply a dark hole. However, the most unsettling thing was what was above that. I cannot write it down, for even thinking about it makes my hands shake and tremble, and my head ache. It was a sight most horrible, and therefore I advice that one should not go trying to see what is under that hood of shadows that the Watchers always wear.

The purpose of the Watchers and what they do is certainly a question that many have asked themselves. I myself do not know for sure, but they seem to be somehow linked with the dark shadow of a god known as Wèizhī, as they appear in other places where it has been. There are some stories of people disappearing in areas that are known to be commonly visited by at least one Watcher, though the veracity of those stories is unknown. Other stories tell of Watchers observing people venturing in shadowed places from far away, to then disappear when spotted.

Yet other stories tell of Watchers stalking adventurers, silently following their every step, coming closer and closer seemingly without effort. Any effort to run away would be fruitful as they would appear to be directly behind you every time you would look behind you.

The creator was pleased: no god had yet to attack any other god or do any blatant act of pure evil. Hopefully they would stay that way.

Grange looked out as the other exiled gods, for there were a number of them, busied themselves with creating lands and beasts of all kinds, as forests and islands, and on the islands, He saw the god Hektor place intelligent mortals. As time wore on, and the world changed, he grew curious. The Trojans', for that is what their creator named them, had fertile lands and an opportunity to flourish, but they would never become great without a people to compete with. For once one Trojan surpassed the others, they would rise to dominance, and would crumble without any other to size themselves up against. So Grange set about creating a people of ambition, so as for his own pleasure as to excite the ambition in the Trojans', and to compete with them.

And so the Assini were created, and would be on the peninsula jutting out into the island regions of the Trojans', if only there weren't the massive gate and army that their creator had put in place. While it would certainly be an ideal location for a civilization to rival the Trojans, they would need some unmolested space to grow, and some time to catch up in the natural order to the technology of that of the Trojans. So, Grange set up his people just beyond the gates of Troy, setting up villages and tents for them to dwell in until they could establish more permanent settlements. For while their land was more barren, he left with them a tome, a tome that would teach them how to survive on so much less than the god Hektor had given his people, yet thrive all the same, using innovations and secrets that allowed them to do more than survive a meager existence, but to overcome their region and their own situation, but also to engender a lust for dominance over their neighbors the Trojans.

OOC: I've built a huge gate and stuck a whole load of soldiers on that peninsula :p

Name: Tananii
Player: Fire and Ash

Appearance: His appears like a moving and talking statue, made from the purest marbel. His body is entirely hairless. The only part of his that can be truly described as human is his sharp green eyes. His body seems to shimmer from a distance, this is due to the energy he can manipulate.

Gender: Male

Bio: Tananii was created by the Creator when he created the new world. Tananii could not comprehend the Creator's thoughts or his motive, but he understood the sheer scope of his father and that somehow, his father had not been satisfied. For the longest time he found himself trapped in the center of creation, until like the other gods he was ripped for his place and sent to this world. He is unmoved by most things, his time spent usually on pondering the mysterious of the universe and the Creator, the hope he will somehow please him. He is no uncaring though and at time had been known to follow his emotions rather than logic. He is neutral to the other gods, unless they give him reason otherwise.

God Of:
-Major: Power and Knowledge
-Minor: Lighting, storms, alchemy.

I am hereby announcing, that due to the number of Gods, I am willing to take on up to three assistants to aid in updating, map-making, etc. You can still play the game if you are an assistant.

Next, Prince is doing you a favor, Spectre. You were the only sentient race, and you were peaceful. If you let them be, I most likely would have created one to stop the Trojans from crumbling.

Also, we have two monsters in for the contest right now. Send in your entries!
