Dude? While im not saying i am 'boss', when was the last time you dismantled a six strong JL in one evening? EL's knee jerk was pricless though :p
I didn't spot it until after I died but Adamus didn't have the most votes when he outed AVN (we just thought he had). If I had seen that I would have been so sure his outing was not just to save himself but also the current vote leader who was Comm Cody#2. I was wondering if Adamus had panicked too (would have been ironic since it cause E_L to panick) but as we see it was "only" a case of going away.

you didn't "dismantle" the JL - in fact, it actually started working because people knew who they could trust.

Good play, mostly because of E_L freaking out, but your whole pack was wiped.

All werewolf is, is calculated guesswork and a dab of luck. When did werewolf become about winning? I knew i would die but i did it anyway for the good or bad, for the shits and the giggles, for the 70 plus pages of discussion. Thats the werewolf id like to see and so fabled before my time. What ever happened, i enjoyed it :)

Thanks for posting your thoughts/ideas in this AAR :)
I hope you will finish it.

But now my criticism. I don't like the rival trait, or maybe I should better say I hate it.
Once you see it in your role description that you have that trait you have the feeling you have to do more than other players to be able to win the game.
Not only defeat the baddies, lynch or getting all of them hunted, but also to get a certain person killed.

One has to do more than every other player to win the game. And that doesn't feel fair.

Of course one can try to make a deal with the rival (as Falc did with Yakman in a previous game, and I tried to do with funnyman in an even older game (unfortunately he didn't read his PM's then)), but that doesn't solve the situation completely. As a player (having this trait) one still feels handicapped.

Do I understand that Mr G used his trait to kill his rival ? Yes completely.
Even if it did hurt the village a lot, because he didn't use his trait to kill a baddie.

So IMHO you estimated this situation incorrectly.

For the other players it's good to know that someone has a rival.
Because that player is almost always (more than 80% of the cases) a goodie.
It helps enormously in analyzing.

Just my 2 cents on this (more to follow once you have finished your AAR).

And it ended well for me in one way, I was pretty much clear during the game...

Adamus clearly wasn't "Boss"

He died the next day - and the only reason this is notable is E_L panicking... pretty sure the village would have won if the seer had lived a little longer.

Additionally, his entire pack was destroyed within what, three days? If they'd won I might concede, but instead they all got the noose or the fang.

He was up in the running and he was going on vacation with few subs in sight. He did well enough. That his pack was wiped wasn't his fault.

So if I had protected E_L had he used his last night to scan something useful?

Reis was the scheduled scan, so no, not really.

Congratulations to winners, and sorry again for my error, though I am happy it would appear to have had no impact on the game. As if by cosmic retribution, I was struck quite ill later that same day and only now am improving.

I guess there is a small comfort in knowing I was right about rednap.

Johho, why did you feel it worthwhile to protect me early on?

I protected you twice I think. And it was because I felt you were a very obvious goodie and scanned as a no-wolf after the no-kill nights so a likely target for wolf hunts.

Never try and outsmart the wolves, it never works.

Yes, I panic when AVN was outed as a turned wolf, but that was because I had no time and if I did nothing the entire J-L would have been gone if the outting was real. I decided rather then contact the whole J-L myself, I should post in the thread, to make sure that all the villagers got it, and at that point, I was certain that the wolves had it.

Had what? The scanlist? Did you give the entire scanlist to every single scanee?

I was fairly certain that AVN had been turned, meaning that the wolves had the scan list. I was going to send in an order that night to rescan him when he was outted in the thread. Until that happened, I was considering who I had scanned that I should contact in case AVN was turned and was playing me.

as it turns out he was working for a cultist...

Alright. I don't think it was too unreasonable for you to post the list in public, as, even with the GA on the ball (which didn't turn out too well), the baddies might have access to hunter traits or brutals, but it might have been better to confine that information to the scanned guys, as not all of them would be baddies under reasonable setups/luck.

probably.

as it was, E_L outed himself to the wolves and died. johho888 was foolish not to protect him though.

I had a feeling that the story on AVN was false. His PMs to me seemed too genuinely committed to a serious analysis in favor of the village. I didn't change my vote for him after the outing, not that it was enough to change anything.

I also entertained for some time that EL had published a fake list. It would have been clever, especially when he did sound convincing enough, as he could have gotten protection and still keep things under wraps.
that would have been funny - especially if it had just so happened to have wolves from both packs on it.

That would have screwed the pack who actually had infiltrated the JL, as they would know the list to be false, while the other pack would hunt on the assumption of it being real.

not if everyone was cleared on that list.

The other members of the JL didn't know who the seer was and didn't have the names of the other members of the JL.
They only had my name.

I contacted them for two reasons.
1) In case another member of the JL needed to be saved from a lynch, they wouldn't be surprised if I asked them to do that.
2) I didn't want to become the spokesperson in public. At least not till I had used my witness trait. Something I had planned to do (order was already sent to the GM) the day I was lynched.

It would have been quite funny if Rendap had become the spokesman of the JL in case we needed to out a wolf...
