Thanks for posting your thoughts/ideas in this AAR

I hope you will finish it.
But now my criticism. I don't like the rival trait, or maybe I should better say I hate it.
Once you see it in your role description that you have that trait you have the feeling you have to do more than other players to be able to win the game.
Not only defeat the baddies, lynch or getting all of them hunted, but also to get a certain person killed.
One has to do more than every other player to win the game. And that doesn't feel fair.
Of course one can try to make a deal with the rival (as Falc did with Yakman in a previous game, and I tried to do with funnyman in an even older game (unfortunately he didn't read his PM's then)), but that doesn't solve the situation completely. As a player (having this trait) one still feels handicapped.
Do I understand that Mr G used his trait to kill his rival ? Yes completely.
Even if it did hurt the village a lot, because he didn't use his trait to kill a baddie.
So IMHO you estimated this situation incorrectly.
For the other players it's good to know that someone has a rival.
Because that player is almost always (more than 80% of the cases) a goodie.
It helps enormously in analyzing.
Just my 2 cents on this (more to follow once you have finished your AAR).
