Dear all,

We have decided to push the release date for Dungeonland one week as we wanted to tweak a few more things before release. We really hope this small delay wont cause too much distress or disappointment, we have a whole team of really dedicated developers and producers working very hard to make this game all that it can be and we can't wait to present it to you - our community.

We'd like to thank you in advance for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you to Dungeonland on January 29!

Kind regards
Susana

Thanks for the info, but would be nice to grant pre-orders beta access during this time. A extra week can feel like a long time when excited

I'd be lying if I said I was happy with the week delay, I was looking forward to playing this game! :p but its absolutely fantastic to see you check beta feedback and ensure that you iron out the kinks before release. So many half completed games out there at the moment that I can easily take this bad news as a good sign. Good luck with the good work and hope to be meeting everyone on it soon! :)

aww, planed a LAN next weekend:( can't the pre-orders get the beta version of the game to play while they wait? would be awesome! :)

Hope it is as fun to play as it looks at videos! keep up the good work :)

Just pre purchased the game. Can't say i'm pleased with the news, 22nd January is long enough from the first day i saw the gameplay trailer. However, if this is going to make the game much better without any first day patch or fixes, i accept the decision with open arms.

Perhaps Tweet them and ask if they'd be generous enough to grant beta access to pre-orders. (Further stress test before release)

So i preorder the game and after that you change the release date? "NICE" and not even a beta login for the time i have to wait? Why? Because you want us to hate you even before the game is released or what -.-

Beta access was something that made me pre order WotR and it would also made me pre order Dungeonland. I planed yesterday that I'll get it today but in that case I think that I'll wait for developers to notice that beta is a grate pre order bonus and I'll buy it when they'll add it.

I should hope BETA access doesn't influence your buying choices in games. This kind of thinking is ruining the game market, expecting pre-order bonuses (even tho there are some in-game items). Because one game does it, doesn't mean its a requirement.
Also, BETA access ruins games, people see incomplete work, and are unhappy, rage comment spam everywhere that they think the game is bad, that puts other people of and people stop playing.

I'm glad they're pushing it back to make last minute fixes. I'm hoping the game is good, I expect it to, it looks good. If its not, I'd rather see that, thats what Paradox want, their finished works. Rather then something they weren't happy with. If Its out, complete, and I didn't like it, I will know I wont like it. Rather then thinking, oh I'll wait until the next bug fix and find out.

Also, I don't want to wait for a bug fix to fix a 'game-breaking' problem. If its something that made them push it back by a whole week, rather than a day or two, then it must be something that NEEDS fixing.

I'm pretty sure that Paradox want us to get the game as soon as problem, even given what the game is about. I really doubt that somebody is in the Paradox office sat there with an evil laugh thinking "I made these tiny mortals wait another week, muhahahahha". No, they want us to get it as soon as possible, thats when they get paid, and all the good karma for making the game.

All that said, maybe an extra hat or something for us that are willing to be patient and wait that extra week, a reward, would be nice Paradox ;)

Hi all, thanks for your feedback. Beta access was never planned to be a part of the pre-order bonus and while it from the outside might look like a simple thing to just turn that on, these type of activities require careful planning and a specific development set up to support that. For Dungeonland beta access was never planned to be a part of the pre-order, and unfortunately that is not something that will change at this stage. Just wanted to address your requests for beta access above so you know what is being planned.

Kind regards
Susana

I thought that BETAs are for people to test the game and give their suggestions and tell about all bugs and other problems, not to let people play the game quicker...If you know that don't think that other people are idiots cos that just want to play the game while it's incomplete and rate it based on that, cos they don't (I don't anyway),if you don't know that...Well, sad. Also, I will get this game if it's gonna be fun, not if it will have a pre order bonus. If there would not be any pre order bonus I would probably wait for some reviews and if they were good then I would get it. But if you don't like getting more stuff as a free BONUS because you thrust that the game will actually be good and you can pay your money for something that might quite well be a one huge fail... Again, a bit strange to me... But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "You can't have your opinion and I'm the only one who can have one cos it's the only right one and everyone have to agree with me cos if he don't he is stupid". I just can't quite understand your thinking process ( "This kind of thinking is ruining the game market, expecting pre-order bonuses "..." "Because one game does it, doesn't mean its a requirement." What's wrong with that? You rather want to just some game have toes?) please explain it better and think everything through.

You obviously haven't read the whole thread, people asking for BETA access, like said, its not something that can simply just happen. BETA access is for stress testing, bug finding etc. Why should anybody be asking or expecting it? Why would bug finding influence you in buying a game? People do use BETAs for quick access, for a game preview. I've played in a lot of game BETAs where people have been expecting it to be perfect and raged on forums.
I do like free stuff, I just don't expect free stuff, nor demand it.
Also, so what, you're saying, I'm not allowed to be critical of other people's opinions? So everyone else is allowed an opinion but me? If people don't agree with me I'm allowed to think they're stupid, I am allowed to have this opinion, and be critical of others. I don't get how you can say I have to accept what other people are saying, yet you can't accept what I'm saying? :s
I'd rather games do what they want to, pre-order bonuses don't influence me in buying a game, they only help me decide when I want to buy the game.
I'd buy dungeonland without any pre-order bonuses.
Some games have toes? Please explain that better and think everything slowly through.

To sum up, as I was saying, they need to take as long as it takes, even if it was delayed a month, it doesn't really matter, I'm not losing anything.
I do like free stuff, but I'm not going to post on their forums, facebook or twitter asking for it.
People need to be more grateful for what they have got/getting, rather than what they want.

"But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "You can't have your opinion and I'm the only one who can have one cos it's the only right one and everyone have to agree with me cos if he don't he is stupid"." Yeah I total don't let you be critical to anything:p. I suggested that beta access is't a bad thing as a pre order bonus and what else you did with the hat suggestion? Yeah, it's a different thing but don't say that you're " not going to post on their forums, facebook or twitter asking for it." cos you just did. Anyway, I agree with most of the things you're saying, especially about that: "pre-order bonuses don't influence me in buying a game, they only help me decide when I want to buy the game.". I even said exactly the same thing here: " I will get this game if it's gonna be fun, not if it will have a pre order bonus. If there would not be any pre order bonus I would probably wait for some reviews and if they were good then I would get it.". Also I'm not quite sure where did you find the bit where I was saying that that delay is a bad thing. I know that they did this to make the game better because they actually care about it and you don't have to tell me that. So again, we think the same way. Oh, and the toe thing. It's a spelling mistake. You made couple of them too but I don't point that out, it just happens:).

I know I'm late for the party and the game is scheduled to be released tomorow but...

I know that some of us (and I count myself among them) were disapointed that the release date aws pushed from january 22 to january 29. The classic "we preordered it so we deserve something for the delay" argument was mentioned and a fellow forum member suggested that everyone who preordered was given beta access to which the developpers said it was not part of their preorder policy.

So we got no beta but what about the exclusive item (the hat, if memory serves correct)?

If there is really something to be given as an apology to thoise who preordered and were forced to wait another week, why don't we receive the exclusive beta item?

It is a code so no big deal, those who preordered are happy and voila!

I would'nt say food for thought but...
