It's actually two books (Westward bound and Eastward bound) but they are usually bundled together. The sad thing is that Frans G. Bengtsson only wrote those two novels as far as fiction goes. On the other hand side if he had been like Turledove we might have been sick of the same old, same old viking stories?
I never got sick of the 13 or so Flashman novels. I like long stories and don't mind a certain level of repetition, but that's just me.
Also, tonka, I'm fascinated by anyone whose interest in a book is sparked merely only the basis that it has a bell, a necklace, and a guy named Orm.
