I'm going to predict that the Great Powers will be:

1. Norway
2. Frankfurt
3. Hungary
4. Sibir
5. England
7. Etruria
8. Berry

Other predictions:
1. There will be no Byzantium by the end of Vic 2, I think its time is just about up
2. Islam will be completely wiped off the map
3. Rebels will successfully unite France
 
Glad to hear people are enjoying the AAR. I was hoping to finish up this weekend but I've been evacuated (Calgary is flooding) so I won't be able to get to my computer until I'm allowed to return. But my apartnment's not on the ground floor, so my saved games should be safe.

I do not know about that, once the tech advantage and inflation is taken away Byzantium will be a lot stronger. not to mention rebels might become a serious problem in its former areas for the conquering powers like Hungary.
 
Also, I find that civilized nations rarely ever get annexed in Victoria 2 (except of course for Texas, the CSA, and the German/Italian minors that unify, none of who's scenarios apply to Byzantium. Not to mention their massive cores will make life quite difficult for all those minors if Hungary or Austria ever gets beaten up...
 
You are in Canada, at Calgary? Wow, that makes a face (or rather a profile) on this AAR I have been watching since the very beginning. I'm sorry for what is happening in your city... I didn't watch news about this place but I knew about Alberta...

Well, your AAR is very good, but your safety (and your family's) are more important. Be well!
(I hope Frankfurt unites Germany, France unite, well... France, Etruria unites Italy without harming too much Austria. I wonder how it will go in HoI...)
 
I've luckily never witnessed a serious natural flooding, only watertubes breaking in the kitchen while everyone was sleeping. Hopefully you didn't have anythimg important in your cellar.
On topic, I was curious to know if all of Sibir had the same culture or how many cultures there are in there and how large they are.

I have 4 predictions for Victoria 2.
1. Germany will form.
2. Italy will form.
3. The United Provinces of California and/or USA will be secondary power(s) at the end of Victoria.
4. Byzantium will return...

I have a question that's been bothering me
Has Syria/Karaman cut Anatolia off from the rest of Byzantium?
 
Essentially. The Byzies may have large territorial swathes, but so much of it counts as "overseas"/disconnected. If they could sneakily retake those upstarts their wealth would jump immensely.
 
Why the hell hasn't the AI taken the two provinces which cut off Anatolia from the whole rest of its territories?
