Name: Fredrick Oldenburg VIII, løvehjerte
Nationality: Danish
Date of Birth: January 24, 1806
Position: King of Denmark
Bio: Fredrick was born to Frederick VI, who had to cede his title of king of Denmark and Norway in 1808, he was quite down the line of secession however, and was likely not to become king. Knowing this, Fredrick still however trained and fought in any wars he could. He fought in the Napoleonic Wars, and gained Knighthood in the Order of the Golden Fleece. He became somewhat of hero among his younger family members, and was often sought after for advice..
However, when tragedy struck the house of Oldenburg when Fredrick VII died, it was found he had no legitimate heirs. He had some female sisters, but under Salic Law the Kingdom of Denmark was still agnatic, so a council was convened and were elected to determine the next king. After searching for valid claims, they finally chose that Fredrick was the one with the most valid claim. He had sons, and daughters, so he was easily accepted as the next king. He became Fredrick VIII thereafter, and his official title was : By the Grace of God,
King of Denmark, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, duke of Schleswig, Holstein, Stormarn and Dithmarschen, Count of Oldenburg and Delmenhorst, Fredrick the VII
He believe the Kiel Treaty was un-rightful, and seeing that Norway is in a fit of distress and that Sweden seems to not have given up, he will stake his claim to the land, and that is his by rights.
