Kingdom creation is intentional for king-level viceroys. Will look into large Byzzies. banu Abbad being unplayable is extremely bizarre and I do not know why they're unplayable, they aren't a theocracy. I blame Paradox. The localization problem is an Speak English Dammit SWMH problem I presume?

Thanks for the clarification on the Byzantine Empire.

As for the Makurian localization problem, yes, it's with the Speak English Dammit module.

I don't know if this is vanilla issue or what, but i'm unable to adopt feudalism. I am the king of alania who just converted to nestorian, and have the maxed hillfort in my capital as well as the maxed tribal organization law. everything on the checklist is filled when i hover over it, but i'm unable to click the decision.

The latest hotfix we've released fixes it. It's a vanilla issue we can patch around.

What do you mean by everything except ARKO, NRBT, PB, SWMH? What's that leave, VIET?
Pretty much along with EMF. I think it might be a glitch with some of the events. Event seems buggy in general. Killed the opening events but that doesn't stop the game from freaking out sometimes crashing randomly at specific dates. Well, in my experience the best thing to do is wait for this to get patched. C'mon Cybr I want my VIET back without having to tinker with the old stuff!

It is literally impossible to use EMF without PB.

This is one of the longest running bugs I have ever seen, Great Heathen army if it ever comes to Ireland, Mide, gets stuck there and I have to manually move them away, if they are away the AI controls them with no problems, but if they come to Mide again, they get stuck there again and die to attrition.

Another bug is the Hungarian AI, it seems to be overtly passive and not expand after taking Eastern Hungarian plain. I saw the same thing with Seljuks. WTF

also the game often crashes and this is what error log has:

Any Date past 1st July, 1067 in Ui Neill in northern ireland is unplayable due to a bug where it wont let me play as a republic even with the DLC, also the Ui Neill lands were not a republic at this time^

I'm not sure what module this applies to, but playing HIP with all modules enabled, the titular empire Romania has a "the" before it, so that rulers are titled "Emperor ____ of the Romania". Maybe that's correct, though.

The positioning for units in San Marino is also off; they appear in the next province over.

EMF automatically parses out the parts of PB you need and sticks it in though with the HIP installer doesn't it?

It's complicated. But, yeah, the installer smartly sorts out which files it wants from PB (most of them) and which it doesn't. Also, it'd be pretty "easy" to mod EMF to not require PB at this point, but so much localisation and other files are shared that it would hardly make any sense to do so. What Meneth means is that any time you select EMF in the installer, you're getting a ton of PB as well. In any case... :D

My designated regent didn't become regent instantly (no event who toppled my regent , it just ignored that I had a designated regent). Not sure if this is a vanilla problem (since I am on beta) but I still wanted to make you aware of this , if Paradox can't find the problem in the vanilla game (I will try to reproduce this in vanilla too, just to be sure)

I don't believe any of the HIP mods include a titular empire of Romania.

Hmmmm, is this a clean up effort I sense? Anyways I figured out what the problem was, something to do with the ui mod I'm using not being compatible with latest release of HIP. :p
At least, I think that's it. Crashes stopped when I unticked the ui mod. Might also just be the latest CK2 beta handing me the shorter end of the stick again.

By the way, is it intentional that I can use the "Go Hunting" decision infinitely? I use the decision yet it stays available immediately again as long the conditions are met and I have the gold... *clickclickclickclickclick* *woundedmaimedgotrunoverbyabuck*

With everything but SWMH enabled and using the latest beta patch, at the start screen, clicking on custom ruler while having the Byzantines selected at the Charlemagne start caused a CTD.

As you know, we can't support personal modifications of HIP for obvious reasons (especially to the degree of yours), so please do us a favor and help us keep this thread streamlined with issues that we can address.

All mods enabled except the SMNT map mod. Its 782 in Ireland as I'm playing as one of the Irish Clans. I attack one place that fights as it should with levies it actually has. I take it and move to conquer the third only to find that they spawn 3,000 troops out of nothing instead of their 300 men levy. Why is this happening?

Again its 782 A.D. and my enemy shouldn't be able to raise over 300 troops it has in its tribal encampment let alone 3,000 troops right in front of me out of the ether. How do I fix this? Again, I don't have the modified map mod installed but I do have everything else and I clicked the randomize characters button (once including my character and another game without randomizing my character but messing with everyone else). Also I have all the DLCs, deleted the modules folder in the mod folder before installing yet the large version of the portraits after randomizing the cast of characters (EMF mod, I think) suddenly have extra noses and cheeks placed well outside the bounds for the large character's portraits on the blown up menu in addition to the proper image. This took place only after I clicked the button to randomize characters, oddly enough. No outside mods used, by the way. Can you assist?

Edit: I am having a spammy 3k man army spawn at a duke of mide who owns just the one county. Is this related to the Raise Tribal Army button? His total levy size for his only county is 470 men. I am having to pay interest twice in a row on my small loan. Also, there are some characters who sport extra pairs of eyes, noses, and mouths hanging out outside the larger portrait windows but not always as a refresh of the window sometimes clears the extra bits outside the oval window for the character portrait right up. This doesn't happen in the vanilla and I do have the portrait dlcs required. Perhaps that's likely because I'm going back and forth between my desktop and the game to update this post? Ironic as I note changes that need to be stated here and switch as needed. In other news, I am curious how these mods affect the broken Adventurer Army mechanic in the vanilla game but finding out will have to wait until I have recreated my Irish Feudal Kingdom (since Merchant Republic Transitions are incredibly buggy and broken in vanilla gameplay.)

All modules except for SMNT enabled and the personal castle standalone mod.

I noticed after playing for almost 200 years that the Banu Saffar Shahdom is constantly at 90-100% decadence but never triggered a revolt. Then I started playing as them for 15 years with 100% decadence and still no revolt in sight. Is the decadence system still in the works? (got re-enabled for the CM dlc as I recall) Or just bad luck with MTTH?

Edit: playing with the 2.2.0.4 beta patch and the HIP version from the 25th.
