Expect no AAR. I will answer all questions when I get home, provided they are prefaced with "Dear Euro"

I don't get why baddies don't choose wolf more often. The fact that priest is cheaper than seer, and that sorc/priest powers are cheaper than seerish, makes it much more likely that there are fewer goodies who can scan you if you decide to spend the points on wolf.

Also, Path Liar is awesome. I want to have another game where every villager claims something to protect the real PL.

I had exactly 2 pickpoints. At that point it's less about what will win than what will be fun. I don't regret going guild member for a second.

Yes but in a pm you said to me you thought I caught you because I knew from baddie sources or something. I didn't. The voting record just clearly implicated you as a packmate of Falc's.
It is true Falc made me quite obvious; that doesn't change that had I been more cynical you would have been dead long ago.

When the violet part was added in, the "of those who vote" part became nonsensical and should have been removed.
That wasn't added until after the game had started though.

I would definitely have chosen it if I had the points.

I only chose wolf because I had a feeling no-one else would bother. Ended up being the right call. What if none of us chose wolf?
In johho's game that would have ended up in somebody being elevated to wolf.

Also skobie do you have a link to that marty crovax you talked about in IRC?

I choose Pathological Liar since I was the first to have it since it was brought back, and I liked it then, and this time it has more uses, if more restricted. Plus it cost as much as assassin, so i figured why not? And I took club member because they have other powers, and I was fine with staying a cultist because it meant I could change sides and be less likely to be hunted. Being part of a third pack was an interesting prospect, and even more so once we had complete control over the royalist guild. Such a promising game that ended rather suddenly. Glad the village, or anyone else for that matter, never figured out what was up with the Napoleon pack at least. I never used Liar though, since I figured it would make me a target, though I planned to use it later, or perhaps stick claims in larger posts, similar to the stuff with priestly powers the day I was hunted. Disappointed that I got hunted before any of it mattered though.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm hardly saying it's a bad choice. I'm just a little surprised that cultist is so overwhelmingly favored.

Nice game, guys.

...

I literally started this entire policy. I pm'ed Esemesas immediately after Tamius was lynched, and told him about my guilds powers. I suggested, before anyone else, that we use the guilds to co-ordinate protection.
I got Johho to contact Cymsdale, and between our two packs, with 2 healing powers and 2 GA powers between us, we protected him.

So not only did I get my own guild to protect Esemesas, I actually got yours to do it. Much more than you did. Yet somehow even though you think this has to clear you, even though I done it more, you vote me...

...
Seems like long posts are good at hiding crovaxes. (It was a very long post I cropped)

It wasn't a crovax. Packs was a term for guilds.

Jeez, I make these mistakes more often as a villager than I do as a wolf. Does that make all of those crovaxes as well?

Plenty of villagers have been lynched for 'crovaxes'. Which is why wolves sometimes get away with them, because it gives a reason to say 'wolves don't crovax', or some-such.

Crovaxes should never be used as a reason to lynch someone precisely because it's usually a villager which does it, which calls into question whether when a wolf does it it's actually a freudian slip, or really just a casual mistake by someone who just happens to be a wolf.

EDIT: If I made a crovaxian slip this game, it was the post where I even entertained the idea of lynching Wagonlitz for making one. As a villager I would never do that.

You do have a point but I think it's kind of subtle. Not everyone realises that the game is more likely to have multiple priests than it is to have a seer with the way the PP system works.

Also, Path Liar is awesome. I want to have another game where every villager claims something to protect the real PL.

I'm really happy that pushing to get that thing back into the game has panned out so well. :)

Because as a cultist you have better prospects of victory. You can switch sides, you get better traits and in lynchings wolves are a priority.

This, basically. Those two points can be good traits and with these cultist rules having a lot of cultists means you can form an über pack by combining all the the cultists. None of which want to vote each other, because hey, we're all on the same team. We just don't know which of the wolves we end up winning with yet ;-)

Guild membership and alderman really were the nobrainer options with these pickpoint tables, especially for the goodies. And brutal was too expensive again.

Good job guys! :)

Conversely, this lovefest for a win in a simple game of Werewolf makes me sick!

Yes, I know MC sent you that pm, I was talking about it in my posts. :p He BCC'd me on it, and I told him I'd prefer Sleepyhead, although I didn't think shooting enkhuush was a bad call. It just reflects better on me than it does on you in hindsight.

Also, I thought you had to take your leave, about 40 minutes ago? Change of plan?
