I have got a nagging feeling by the way that it will be a mobile/tablet game. Is that too far fetched? It is something they've stated to look into in the past isn't it?

A space game would allow them perhaps to cut some corners that may be necessary in order to make some GSG workable on mobile without their fanbase being to pissed of about 'missing' features from earlier games.
I doubt whether they would make a new big IP on tablet or mobile base. Maybe a smaller experiment or something would be more likely.

It's a new major IP. It's on the same level as HoI, Vicky, CK and EU. I doubt they would do a major IP as mobile game.

My god, just post the damned teaser already :x

Actually they are deciding whether to make the game FREE, seeing as all they have achieved is pissing off most of their community.

You must have missed earlier Project X teasers. This is still extremely tame.

Contradicts with Teaser #1: Augustus is a major IP. A mobile/tablet game would be less major than Sengoku and MotE.

Perhaps, but the world is changing and the revenue model for mobile games is by no means pretty well developed but I don't think it's wise in the long run for a developer to ignore that market.

Mobile games are a market that's increasing faster then the pc gaming ever did I think.

Edit: saying a 'major' IP contradicts with a mobile game is a little bit PC-elitism and not entirely grounded in reality anymore if you ask me. Sure there are challenges and I'm not sure if I"m reall enthousiastic about it but I wouldn't wave it away based on the first hint so soon.

The trouble is, is that mobile technology is miles behind PC technology, and so it would make little sense to release a major IP on a mobile platform when you'd be seriously downgrading the game relative to past titles.

Also bear in mind that Paradox's fanbase is almost exclusively PC based, so a shift to mobile gaming would make little sense business-wise as well.

I expect that the primary focus will be on PC, however PDS have stated an interest in the past in making games compatible for consoles and (unless I'm mistaken) tablets.

It is not PC elitism, is common sense. It is more likely that PI would experiment with a new market by either exporting a game onto a new platform or publish another developer's game. Jumping into mobile market with a major IP (which entails an expected success and thus a larger investment of resources and expected DLC&sequels) is way too risky, not to mention that their ENTIRE fanbase are PC players and that history has proved that mobile players DO NOT have the same tastes as the PC and console players do, thus making the whole thing even riskier.

Also, if it were a mobile game, that would most likely be one of first three hints.

How about the Tablet would not be the main component but a possibility to use while playing on the PC.
I allways dreamed about using the Tablet as a kind of second screen in games like EU4 where it would support you like a government book or a map or maybe even in fights you could just draw your lines of advance on the enemy to give them a tactical aspect.

Just don't make the require you use that tablet and I'm fine with that.

So basically like what Nintendo were going for with the WiiU, only not as retarded as it actually turned out?

O it's a long shot and logic indicates that it's probably a PC game. But if Paradox really wanted to make an entry in the mobile game community. Wouldn't it make more sense to market it as a major IP instead of "we're doing a little side project on mobile".

Sure it's a long shot, but it is something paradox has expressed interest in so could fit hint 7 and I think that throwing it out of the window based on just personle preference and the opinion that a mobile game can't be a major IP is a bit to quickly.

Come on, release the new hint already please :(

I see the meeting... Shams is constantly proposing troll sentences that would make the forum go up in flames
and everybody else tries to push for some less intense hints.

haha

Right ?

What if paradox decided after reading these threads that this is chaotic enough and wont post any new hints to keep the tension and wont tell that to troll us even more?

What about Paper Knights? These are mobile games.
