A girl's allowed to dream right?More like Ambitious and Ambitious.
I dunno. Piles of gold tend to buy loyalty stronger than even religion can field (and considering CK2's time period that means a LOT)The pope sees all he just finds it difficult to order command over his pile of 600000 gold.

Pretty weird stuff happening in my current game. I haven't seen so much happen in just one game course.
First, Karloman imprisoned Charlemagne within 5 years of the game and the man died in his dungeons within a year. Sigurd Ring couldn't even conquer a single county, he was killed in personal combat against some minor count of Sjaelland and now Ragnarr is a poor OPM count. Uighurs are close to forming the Mongol Empire in the east (at least they have all the borders). Zunists kicked out the other, Buddhist Afghans from Afghanistan who now pushed themselves into Panjab instead. Some nomadic tribe annihilated Armenia and settled down there with a custom empire.
And just now this happened:

It seems nomads are getting restless and looking for a place to take a dump. And out of all the things, they chose a stable, powerful ERE after establishing that 'empire' in Armenia. Since vassals are still all Orthodox (thanks to Leon IV surviving), ERE is a tinderbox that is about to explode in rebellions any day.
I have never seen this happen, at least not this early in the game. Apologies if this is not strange enough.
F***ing Khazars with their f***ing borders...![]()
So... that just happened

I've never seen a Shia rising this large, over twenty times the number the Arabian Empire can field![]()
What's even stranger still, they just completely disappear after a few months, what on earth happened?
I don't know, it's an ironman game so I couldn't have a lookDid they all spawn on Socotra?![]()
Some screenshot from my last playthrough, Stanford Bridge start:

England's still completely Anglo-Saxon (and ruled by Hwicce). You don't see that every day.

My best guess is that at some point Aquitaine had a queen that married one of the last Karlings.
