It seems Paradox are taking their time for the next patch, which we need to release a full mod update. So we've decided to do an open public test version. It should work reasonably well, but be warned expect some bugs in this. For one the dragon battle/siege decisions are broken due to a vanilla bug now fixed in 2.4.5, so we don't need reports on that, else blackninja will have a coronary :) But feel free to report bugs/give feedback in this forum.

The World of Ice and Fire and flags are now pretty much done, so this will hopefully be our 1.0 version when we can do a proper release.

Known Bugs:
- Dragon battle and siege decisions are broken (related to a vanilla bug which has now been fixed in the 2.4.5)

Mac/Linux/Zipped files warning: The mod files must be copied to <Your Documents>/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod folder. We also recommend any previous mod files in this folder are deleted before copying the new version. Windows users have been provided with an installer that performs this function automatically, while Mac users can find detailed installation instructions in the manual

- If the Kingsguard somehow gains lands/powers, other rulers can now use some CBs against them, and their vassals can no longer use most factions against them
- Aegon's levies now start raised in the Dance
- Reduced the revolt risk from being in the red
- Religious unrest tweaked
- The Reach, Riverlands and Iron Isles rulers after the Conquest are grateful to Aegon for being granted their titles
- Adjusted face the dragon decision AI
- Greatly reduced the tax income of undeveloped temple holdings
- Increased chance of Jogos Nhai raiding
- Traditional dynastic claims now apply to the relevent titular kingdoms
- Adjusted loyalist faction AI
- Any just cause for executing a character is now also just cause for banishing
- Ambitious AI is now more likely to fabricate claims
- The AI will now ask for payment if you ask them to educate one of your unimportant courtiers
- Slightly increased the base chance of someone accepting an invitation to the kingsguard
- If a realm in dejure New Valyria colonises the Isle of Cedars, the Isle will now change to dejure New Valyria when the colony is complete

Whooooaah that is a long changelist!!! Hooray to the team! You guys rock! :D

Also I noticed one thing there - "dynamic CoA" - what is that? Has Paradox finally enabled modders to let dynastic CoAs be shown on the map, in place of title-CoAs??

That changelog is incredible. Everything sounds great, and I'm hoping people actually read the part about the known issue with dragons. Does the distinction between LPs and kings being dynamic now mean that the Iron Throne could have a Lord Paramount of Volantis, for example?

Thanks for the test version guys. My game crashes to desktop on Oct. 29 of the first year on my game.

The initial post states that this is not where you need to report bugs. Please read the large red text near the bottom of the post.
 
OK couple observations so far.

1. I seem to be unable to have tournaments as whenever I join one the event chain goes all the way to preparing for first joust and then nothing happens as if there never was tournament to begin with. Game has been running for 11 yrs now (started on 8280 as custom count) and browsing the best mil ppl of iron throne it seems no one has participated nor won any tourneys thus far. There has been only two short mega wars first one to depose mad king and 2nd had something to do with randomly separated counts who may have become indp in the first mega war... not sure) so I would surmise this not being reason for no tourneys.

2. There seem to be constant 1 second embargo "wars" starting and then ending instantly. Might have something to do with tourneys never finishing?

I have not played this mod for months so dunno if the embargo war thing is intended or not.

P.S. Sorry if posted on wrong thread as there was no bug thread of first page and more than 2 clicks to browse 2nd page would be effort... <- lazy

P.S.2. Oh and I applaud team for fixing the ironborn raiding :D Now they be proper ironborn (cthulu harr!) and even more positive is that some pirates seem to be making raids to IT territories too.

- The distinction between Lords Paramount and kings is now dynamic, Emperor tier characters may now choose whether to keep vassal kings or to make them lords paramount

Does this mean it's possible to fulfill Renly's offer to make Robb a vassal King in the North?

35 yr game with no crashes! This is impressive. Only dlc I don't have is the horse lord one (I only get dlcs when they get major sales) if it is relevant to any of these issues...

Tally of Issues thus far:

1. It seems to me that advisor actions increase opinion, sow dissent, train children and proselytize don't work nor display the percentile chance of success when hovered over like the remaining working actions do (I assume they work as some I have not used thus far being poor lowly single province count).

2. I have found one person that was born (inside IT realm) after game start year of 1.1.8280 who has skilled fighter trait. All others seem to have poor/trained. I personally don't think this is even bad as I think skilled/formidable should be rare but clearly something is off here as I assume trained/skilled should be more prevalent in the militarily oriented chars. There are the occasional skilled/formidables that are clearly event spawned (I had 2 of those myself lucky me and it sure pays to be buddy buddy with horny bush knights :D)

3. Tournaments mysteriously end right when one clicks on ok when the text I need to prepare for joust first appears. No tournament winners anywhere inside IT in 35 yr gametime.

4. The one second embargo wars that start and end all the time. Not really major issue thus far other than my char getting drafted/undrafted all the time if I forget to tick the forbidden to lead checkbox.

What I will try next to fix them issues:

Verify ck2 folder and reinstall quohor

I had the COURTIERS_MTTTH_EVENTS = 0, (in defines.lua) as I heard it could reduce game slowdown in 100+ year games so I will now turn it on to see if the issue of non martial training children/tournaments goes away.


Advice on modding my game?

I red somewhere that adding some NOT = { religion_group = x } lines to cognatic succession laws would get rid of most female inheritances (after 50yr gametime or so) should work so I have to ask if I'm doing it right. The part that I edited in code is as follows:

Reasoning behind this is that I consider females inheriting in medieval setting unrealistic unless they are installed by revolts or extraoridinary circumstances. Also should make game harder for me as ai dynasties would be more stable (assuming they have living males in dynasty).

Some Ibbenese rulers doesn't have an Ibbenese ethnicity. They look like Tyroshi/Pentoshi. You can see who they are starting as ruler of Ibben in A Feast for Crows and going to history, or looking vassals in various start dates. Moreover, the government form of them appears as 'Republic' instead of 'Merchant Republic'.
