Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Captain speaking. I’ve been invited to make a short guest appearance here this week to give you an update on some of the new features that will be available to further mod Crusader Kings II once the next DLC is released.


Ever since the addition of forts to the game, there has been requests to be able to build buildings inside them just as in other settlements. Well, now you can.


And for those mods who want to present their players with their own bookmarks or additional bookmarks, the era selection screen has now been made fully customizable. So there is no longer the need to use our hard-coded localization strings or images, and the number of eras presented can now be set to anywhere from one to five.


Due to popular demand I have also added a number of new powerful scopes to triggers and effects that will make it easier to script complicated events and decisions, such as any_character and any_landed_title.


To whom an AI character gives out minor titles and religious titles are now scriptable in the same way as other decisions, and targeted decisions has gotten a new friend filter.


The new patch will also see a number of bug fixes. Some of the additional family opinion modifiers that were added earlier this year, such as uncle, nephew and niece all had some problems but are now working as designed, and the opinions between a child and his/her mother and father have now been split into several modifiers to allow for more control.

but not every dlc fix broken things which annoy players, like buged seduction..it is over 11 months that this dlc was relased, lots of small patches, one dlc patch and still not working as it should.

Seducation isn't bugged. Just unbalanced. And it was already reworked more than one time. It's not like they never tried to balance it... And you can't fix everything that easily.

you cant fix it easily ? sorry ?
there are lot of mini-mods just focused on fixing on seduction to make it balanced , fixing broken stuff and making it working as players allways wanted it. if you browse a lot of threads focused on this problem you wil get thier names. and they are here for long tinme. for some reason pdox is simply not interesed in fixing it, and i dont want to speculate why.
and yes, it was reworked, but nt enough to player stisfaction. hidding 8 lovers of your wife from normal view pre "fix", isnt fixing or balancing , it is just labeling of bug as feature and just hiding it.

But please... tell me how this is a bug? Unbalanced... yes. But not a bug.

And I don't mean this one problem with 'not easy to fix'. I just was saying that some bugs are not easy to fix. Some of them can be fixed by modders with event's etc... but this is not how Paradox can do it. Paradox has to fix them in the code not pseudo-fix them with events and modifications.

not liking the balance of something doesn't make it a bug. By the same token, saying something is bugged doesn't mean there are 'lots of bugs'. And paradoxically, the more you exaggerate the problem, the less most people pay attention to you.

(Aside: I don't like how seduction works at the moment. Not enough to refuse to play the game.)

Not to derail whatever going on above, But have there been any concrete theories on what the new Dlc is??( or is it an Expansion im not really sure )

'the new DLC' = 'expansion' as terminology, but, no, I don't think anybody has a concrete theory yet.

I think its an event header.
I was somewhat curious and checked the size of the event pictures in the gfx folder. They are all the same size: 450x150, same as the size of the picture in this dev diary.
So.....I guess you're right.
 
Wish you guys would add right click on CoA on the map to raise vassals levies.

exactly howe many fixes to seduction was dfone in 11 months after wol was relased ?
i can only 2, first was that they reduced range at which you can seduce one and secon that less chars pick up seduction and that all, fell free to post here more fixes.
and i cant take hidding lovers as fix, it it just hiding of problem under carpet.
why you think that seduction is working ? just unbalanced and not bugged ? do you think that if your queen wife have 7 childs, each with different father and none is of her husband is unbalkanced ? i see it as bugged.
and can you tell me pls, in which code it is needed to fix, which is not free to everyone to lok at ? i mean that one which get acces to public with new patch and comment - improved moding support. i cant realy imagine one. can you tell me which one you have in mind? range, tier differencde, trait modifiers..etc is open to ppublick to modify.

Eh... do you even know the difference between a bug and unblanced content? There is no error which cause this results. It's simply bad balanced. This is not a question about opinion. It's not a software error that cause this.

ok, so doyou think that pdox dont care to balance things sound better that it dont care about fixing bugs ?
 
Seduction is pretty much a meme focus. Torture would have more useful and historically correct.

Forums can't be full, and threads aren't forums.
And how this help to ironman no mod players? If is all perfect for you im happyfor you; for the rest is broken not just bugs broken why try achievements if dont work.
 
If you want achievements and don't like WoL, then disable WoL unless you're trying for a WoL specific achievement.

Awesome! Ehm is there a chance that we might get any_province? I mean any_landed title would be even heavier anyway.

Yes, any_province and any_landed_title are both in there.
