The VIP forum should now be accessible, please sync your owned items again as it should show up then. Please note that it can take an hour for the cache to load which means that after you click the sync button, it may not show for an hour.

It can and it does. It can take an hour to sync because we have over 600.000 members on the forum :p. The script can't do them all in one go hence it's run over the period of an hour which means that if you were the last to click Sync it can take an hour (though most of the times it's much faster).
 
I actually had to physically install the game even though I'm at work. Just having the key registered and showing in my games section on steam wasn't cutting it.

I did a sign out, sign in and resync like 30 seconds after the install finished and the beta section is showing now.

All is well for me.
 
Since the issue has been resolved this thread is now locked, please follow the instructions in the original post and you should be all good.
