[UPDATED 15/03/17] How to access the Steel Division: Normandy 44 VIP Beta forum

Greetings everyone,
This information is for everyone that is partaking in the VIP Beta that kicks off tomorrow. After you've redeemed your Steam key please follow these instructions to access the dedicated forum. If you’ve already connected your Steam and Paradox account, please skip directly to step 5.

1. Go to the forums and sign in to your Paradox account (top right corner)
2. Click your email address at the top right to reach your Paradox account page
3. Click Settings
4. Connect your Steam account to your Paradox account
5. Go back to the forum and login (if not already logged in)
6. Mouse over your profile name at the top right corner and select Owned Items
7. Click the Sync Owneditems button and wait (depending on the load a sync can take up to an hour)
8. Once synced you will see all Paradox products you own as well as the Steel Division: Normandy 44 VIP Beta item (please note it has no special icon)
9. Head over to the Steel Division: Normandy 44 forum
10. At the top you will now see a Steel Division: Normandy 44 VIP Beta section
11. Congratulations, you can now access the VIP forum!

Two things to keep in mind:

• If you cannot see the VIP forum it means you’ve not synced your items properly, please follow the above steps again
• Everything shared in the forum is confidential and is not to be shared elsewhere. You are under an NDA, please make sure you’ve read and understood it

If you have issues accessing the Beta forum despite having followed the above guide please open a ticket via our helpdesk, making sure to provide your Paradox account email as well as a short description of the problem.

UPDATE!
IF you redeem the code on your account but it doesn't register here even after going through all the steps above, disconnect your Steam account (go to your Paradox account > Settings > Disconnect), wait a minute or two, then re-connect and re-sync.

We are experiencing some issues with the game not registering properly on forum accounts. This is being worked on but it means no access to the Beta forum at the moment. Please bear with us and remember to not discuss the Beta yet!

The VIP forum should now be accessible, please sync your owned items again as it should show up then. Please note that it can take an hour for the cache to load which means that after you click the sync button, it may not show for an hour.

Thank You - Should we SYNC OWNEDITEMS now to shorten the time??? and therefore only have to SYNCE SD44

This will not make any difference, the script syncing the items isn't based on how many items you own, syncing now and then later won't make the script run faster .

So key's are send alredy? If so.. welp, so mutch for the sign up thingie

They are not. Keys will be distributed this afternoon to everyone that signed up for the Beta.

Sorry if this is a silly question--on the "Owned Items" page, what does the "xx/xx" stat mean? Mine now says 22/54. I have no idea what the 22 or the 54 are.
Edit: Seems like the 22 is trying to count how many Paradox products I own, but it's counting HOI4 twice for some reason. As far as I can tell (I got an "info submitted" screen, not a "sorry, no dice" screen) I got into the beta, but I don't see it on that page.

The number means that you are showing 22 our of 54 icons. You can only show 54 icons under your name (look at my post and you'll understand). You are also showing the HoI icon twice because you bought a version higher than the standard one. We are working on a new design that will allow you to organize and display only the icons you want so that will be a thing of the past later this year .

About what time could we expect our keys to be given out?

Eugen will send out the keys this afternoon, can't give you a more exact time as I don't have one at the moment .

It is not, no, and we don't intend to make that a possibility either.

The key will be sent to the email you used when you signed up. It will be a Steam key so you can redeem it on your Steam account as normal and since that is linked to this Paradox account you will have the access you need .

Do we not get access to the topic until the beta drops?

Once you've redeemed your key and synced your owned items you will get access to a separate forum. It's there already (muahaha) but you can't see it unless you have the game on your Steam account .

As he was wearing an SS uniform with a swastika in the background, yes, it was removed. Please read the forum rules again, they are quite clear on what we allow and don't allow. Further questions about the actions should be done via PM.

If you've gotten your code, awesome, enjoy the game ! I'm experiencing some issues with the Owned Item / forum access atm and working to resolve, but for the time being please refrain from posting ANYTHING about the Beta on the public forum! You are under an NDA and it would be very bad to do so .

So if we cannot access the Beta Forum, how are we supposed to discuss any possible issues we are having?

Atm you can't ><. To give you a short summary of the issue at hand:

- When I tried it this morning the game was picked up by our Owned Item plugin just fine
- Now, it seems that something has changed but we don't know what or how and this has made the Owned Item plugin not realize that customers own the game
- I'm confused and working to try and fix this as we speak, sorry for the delay!

Can anyone confirm the Beta Forums are up already? Linked with Steam, relinked and still doesnt show up.

Still working to resolve the Owned Item issue, they are up but none have access .

I cannot check that actually, the keys are sent by Eugen. I suppose they may be getting notifications if the mails bounce but that's a question for them. Ping @EUG_PapaYankee

It's not showing up in my list. Come on it can't take so long to sync.

It can and it does. It can take an hour to sync because we have over 600.000 members on the forum . The script can't do them all in one go hence it's run over the period of an hour which means that if you were the last to click Sync it can take an hour (though most of the times it's much faster).
