I really, really like this mod. Is the EU4 converter still up and running?
Glad you like it. Yes, the EU4 converter should work. Please report any issues you encounter with it.

I think I've probably been responded to on this already, but IMO the Roman-ness of Romano-British characters is pretty ahistorical - the southwestern Britons certainly had a ton of Roman influence, but they were still fundamentally British-speaking; British Vulgar Latin basically died during the Roman retreat, and the Roman "way of life" was already disintegrating by the time the Anglo-Saxons landed. I think the Romano-British melting pot should only occur if a Roman* character takes over the Isles.

Culture does not however equal language in the mod. We have discussed potential revisions to the cultural setup to alter the spread of cultures (this and comments below). Furthermore, I would like to point out that there are no melting-pot events around Romano-British culture in the sense that it is present at start. Your suggestion of completely removing the Romano-British culture and replacing it with Briton seems slightly drastic in my view, if we factor in these maps:

481px-End.of.Roman.rule.in.Britain.383.410.jpg

In 476 we are 56 years after the end of Roman rule, but the entire area of Romanisation hasn't been conquered by the Angles, Saxons and Jutes.

Don't know if someone already said that, but I noticed the missing of the Baiovari or the Bavarians into the early start date of the mod.

In this map showing the year 500 you can see them occupying the northern part of Noricum, already migrated there, just south east of the Juthungi and west of the Quadi.
They were an important part of the history of this period because they pose the foundation of the duchy of Bavaria, they repelled the slavs from Noricum during the Avar migrations and were famous to be strong allied of the Lombards, at the point that for some time the lombard kingdom of Italy and Bavaria shared the same dinasty.

For what I know at the time of Odoacer they were located just between Rugiland and the Alamannians, still north of the Danube, it will be really cool to create an event similar to the Magyars in the vanilla where in certain conditions they can migrate south of the Danube and slowly start to expand in the Noricum, because at the time of Lombard Italy they were already a consolidated power that rivaled with the Alamannians (to become then a tributary state of the franks).

I would love to see a Palatine Hill building for the Barony of Rome as well as a decision for each Roman Emperor to build their own Roman Bath, Theatre, or Stadium (with 3 levels of extravagance with appropriate character modifiers and prestige gains).

There is a problem with the decision to restore the priesthood of the egyptian religion, to do that you need to own the b_luxor, but in the mod the b_luxor for the province Asyut is disabled so you can't do that o_O

You have to use the decision Restore Luxor.

A short research via google books comes up with this quote out of the book The Roman Empire and its Germanic Peoples by Herwig Wolfram (2005):

"[...]. A few months later the main group of Danubian Goths was in fact admitted into the empire. When their leaders were named, Alaviv was mentioned first. It was only after Alaviv's death that Fritigern gained the supreme command over all the Goths admitted into the Empire. [...]" (p. 81)

And in War and Warfare in Late Antiquity (vols. 2): Current Perspectives by Alexander Sarantis and Neil Christie (2013) we find the following quote:

"[...]: thus, at Cumae in 552, the Ostrogothic leader Aligern exploited the city's machines to resist Narses, though the Ostrogoths did not like being cooped up with a besieged city - recalling the frustration of the Gallic legions in Amida in 359." (p. 445)

I read about them in 2 Polish historic books. Unfortunately, these books are probably not available in English. I can try translate part of text about Tetraxite Goths from one of these books:

"The destruction of the Hunnic Empire in the middle of the 5th century brought the Germanic tribes in Central Europe liberation from the burdensome dependence, but the eastward retreat of the Hunnic groups after the defeat complicated the position of the Crimean Goths. It was then, as it seems, that the Crimean Goths retreated into the hard-to-reach mountain regions of the Peninsula. We owe one more detail to the invaluable Procopius of Caesarea from the history of the Goths in the Crimea in the times of the Hunnic domination. In spite of their bravery, of course, they could not resist the Huns' advantage for a long time (more precisely: one of their factions - the Utigurs), the more so because they were supported by the Alans. Goths were forced to make a deal with a stronger opponent. Under this arrangement, some of the Goths moved from the Crimean peninsula to the neighboring Taman Penisula (across the Straits of Kerch) and settled there, maintaining their own organization, however, it was forced to serve a military contingent of 2000 armed forces. This faction of Goths, who - as it seems - also kept its own ethnicity to early modern period, was referred to by Procopius as Tetraxite Goths."

In this mod Taman Penisula is in province of Tmutarakan .

Dzięki :) Tak się składa, że jestem Polakiem, więc jak chcesz to możesz pisać do nas po polsku (ale wtedy lepiej przez PM).

In the mod the Bavarii culture may appear by event after 500 from Rygir provinces provided the Rygir kingdom no longer exists.

At the moment there are non-specific theatre and thermae buildings. When it comes to stadiums you have access to the Circus Maximus decision.

Did you find out about them in "Neglected Barbarians"? If yes, I doubt we will have access to this book :(
I can probably look into getting access if needed.

@loup99
You might want to adjust the MTTH on the new melting pots (unless this is intentional) as I saw Romansh emerge within a decade or so of game start. Also, the 'religious divergences' event (the one for 'You're a Christian Barbarian ruling a Sub-Roman territory, but the types of Christianity are different') fires constantly, and it's rather annoying. I've had it fire multiple times per month.
