So I just learned the Unit Color Compendium got some "coverage" as a background slider in a youtube video.
Yes please. Make sure it is clearly indicated that they are fan creations, of course, but some of those designs were really good. Puts my colour scheme to shame (then again, I've tried painting tartan before and it never comes out right). Will there be a section for the Fan Created Units.
WOW - these look amazing! Will there be a section for the Fan Created Units. If so these will have to make an appearance. I'll send them over when I'm finished weathering them a bit.View attachment 423812 View attachment 423813
They will be clearly marked. NP.Had a busy weekend, so couldn't give any attention to the website I'm afraid. but will keep checking through things tonight.

I was speaking of actual physical models. I have a colour scheme, but it doesn't include much in the way of tartan. Bone white with two vertical stripes down the right fuselage and right leg, one green and one red. The left arm is painted in a colour/scheme of the pilot's choice (So there is a mech that has Bisset tartan on the arm).If you need some help with that colour scheme let me know. I can work you one up. If it includes tartan, I'm getting really good with that.

Thank you, that’s very kind of you. I forgot to say any metal trim is in brass. And if it isn’t too much trouble the Fringers insignia is on page 9 of the avatar/insignia thread.Ahh. I see. Yes painting tartan on physical models is hard but doable, though the tartan loses a lot of detail being so small. I'll work you a digital model up with the Bisset tartan.

Once again, thanks for this, as I said earlier, my photoshop skills are nonexistent.
That is amazing. First off, I am actually a big fan of the Archer, so that is a nice bonus.
It actually looks better than what I picture in my head (and miles better than anything I get on lead!).
The only point to raise is the second badge (the skull one) isn't one of mine. Sorry, when I posted last night I was outside on my phone and having trouble linking to the right post. The FF logo is correct though. I don't want to be too cheeky, so feel free to say no, but would it be possible to replace the skull badge with something like the Bisset crest?![]()
Thank you, again.
Oh and sorry @OathOfFealty for derailing your thread.
Man, no doubt. That's amazing. I'd love to be able to do a company of my own, but that's so far out of my league...Thank you so much. You have no idea how excited this made me (or the looks I got in the office when I literally squeed) but it does nothing to end my jealousy of you arty type people.

Does this also mean I'll actually have to get a final draft of the Fighting Fringers' history done? It's in a state of near constant editing at the moment; not the core history itself but the language, style and minor events.
DAT'Z HOT! ... seriously - that is amazing. Art.
The only thing I want to point out is that the metal scratches are too blurred compared to the otherwise sharp lines on the mech.I'm happy you like it. Not necessarily a final draft, just something you feel that's good enough to give people a good feel for who and what the Fighting Fringers are.
Is that your unit? ... If you actively and over a longer period participate on the UCC, I will include your mercenary unit as a reward. This is what I offered everyone else working on the project.Thank you so much.
