- No penalty for low religious tolerance idea now also gives 100% religious unity

So no unrest/stability cost modifier for low religious tolerance?

And we get ideas to supply 100% religious unity?

Is it to compensate for Humanist losing their tolerance and to make religious converting not as mandatory?

That's referring to Hungary/USA unique idea that gives no penalty from wrong religion provinces. Which is also now part of Colonail Nations' ideas and makes it so they don't have to convert provinces.

So this is an immersion pack right?

So... where are the events? The flavor?

oh right. its in Pirate nations. and in Maghreb.

Please Paradox developers. after you return from the holidays, return to Iberia... and work this thing again. There was so much you could had done. so much flavor texts there could had been added. its such a missed opportunity.

Pretty much all of our dev diaries have been smack full of content so couldn't fit it anywhere and it was a small balance change to a broken feature.

I was on my way to work when I saw this post. Pretty much the funniest thing I've read today. "Smack Full of Content" Just can't stop laughing at this.

Street lights did actually exists already before the gas lit lights in the industrial era in the major cities of Europe. Back then they would have been lit by a Lamplighter.

True. But the juxtaposition with Philip is jarring. Anyway, the lights appear to be anachronistic and the building art based off of a 20th century photo. Here are a couple of earlier images of the Archivo General de Indias/Casa Lonja de Mercaderes (more are available, but they should be enough to make the point of no lamps):

Sure, this is nitpicking and something I don't generally engage in, but the lack of attention to detail on the splash screen of all places appears to be symptomatic of the general issues the EU4 community has been up in arms about lately.

Really wouldn't have taken long to implement. Wouldn't have even taken long to make a culture for each colonial region for the main coloniser culture groups, like british, french, german, etc. Would drastically improve the immersion.

I guess they're taking Bethesda's route and expecting modders to fill the gaps. Only thing is a lot of people really only feel their game can have a structured purpose with Ironman and achievements... myself included.

They remain whatever culture the Colonial Nation was, which does not necessarily mean it will be Castillian even if it's Castile colonizing it now.

Can you explain to me something : Like you created Mexican & Brazilian cultures, why didn't you create all of them for America ? Is that really too hard .. ? Or are you waiting for the "South American Immersion Pack" ?

Yes, not a bug but definitely not how we want to keep it. Not changing it for this patch though.

The complete lack of references to Portugal in this DD and the lack of content it was given altogether gives me hope they are not considering this an Iberian Rework, only a "Spain" rework. And so one day we might get a "Portugal" update which also indirectly affects Spain with some more flavour like the Castillian Civil War, Colonization, Catholicism and Personal Union changes (which affects both countries) as well as minor tweaks to Spain which should have been in this patch all along.

Do you realize that Castile did not send its heretics to America? That was a British and French thing. The council even tried to improve the natives rights to no avail, but alas, it was dificult to create Iberian content in the Spain update

It could have been other thing, like less colonial revolt

That was absolutely not a french thing

You're making it increasingly easier not to buy a new DLC.

That was absolutely not a french thing
A lot of huguenots fled to Quebec. Even though the French government might not have directly endorsed it, it would still make more sense than for Iberians - especially as they were actually prohibited from doing so in some, if not most, cases (cases exist of course, but they are the exception to the rule).

I just say amen to transfer occ and development being unlocked for everyone, i’ve bought these dlcs full price but i’ve always found them to be a basic task (TO) and a necessary bonus (development) to enjoy the game and access some strategies. I’m not fond of this last dlc even though i’m a super spain fan, i honestly expected more for the superpower that led exploration and expansion for hundreds of years in this game, it had to be basically the only major flavor dlc (and i say this as italian, its not hometown love tbh), which it honestly is not also cause lends mechanics from dlcs that i already own hence de-evalutating it even more for me. Sad but true!

Edit also lemme add that having made the mission tree an overhaul that is available to everyone but is truly fun when owning the so called flavor dlc is not amusing at all, especially cause i’m not gonna pay a dlc to have 4 more trees enhanced xD its ridiculous

"- Forming Brazil, California, La Plata, Mexico, Texas, or USA will now change your primary culture to American, Brazilian, or Mexican as appropriate."
Is that dependent on the original culture as well? I mean a French colonial nation forming one of those and changing to a culture in the British or Iberian groups would be pretty silly.
