Believe it or not that's intentional: the AI actually tries to solve shortages with buildings instead of districts to avoid the "empire sprawl" penalty. It's part of why the AI kinda sucks ATM.

It tries to solve a problem by doing something stupid?

Honestly, I'm not surprised

Cooperative of what?

The empire ended before the Select Committee to Name the Empire had finished hashing it all out.

That, or they internet-crowd sourced the name, like Mountain Dew crowd sourced their new flavor's name a few years ago.

And the government ended up with the top voted name being, "Hitler did nothing wrong". The result: The council immediately decided not to name their new empire, folded it, and alerted the rest of the galaxy that, "This is why we can't have nice things. We give up".

I didn't realize the L-Cluster was that close to the top of the map!

Ah, a Godwin's Law version of Boaty McBoatface! Good times.

Meanwhile, I've reignited a stellarite devourer's sun and thawed out a few planets, notably a gaia world. And I have to say, any wildlife that could survive having been frozen for a few centuries is Dangerous indeed. Our colonists will have to be careful.

Giant carnivorous tardigrades.

Am I the only one who never seems to get a Gaia from the Stellarite? Just a bunch of Tundra worlds.

I can’t say I’ve ever run to that situation. I’ll keep an eye out for it to see if the issue can be duplicated.

Still, that kind of ruins immersion when the event claims that a frozen world melted to reveal a Gaia world only to find no Gaia world is in the system.

I've never gotten any planets from the Stellarite because it always spawns on the other side of the galaxy and I don't feel like giving a system full of planets to the opposition. Not to mention the massive amount of influence it would cost to claim the system.

What do you mean, cannot shine divine on a machine world? They only have machine worlds by now except one fringe planet, and how am I supposed to deal with them, taking with troops?

crusade-fullstop2.jpg

Now if I do, how are my biological species forced on a machine world, shouldn't they die there shortly after?

And terraforming it back to normal is 4700 days with gasses edict. Looks like a total war against machines will have to be put on hold until 2.3

I discovered this entirely by accident. I had a colony that was still being established at the time that I finished the synthetic ascension project. Naturally, I had to free my colonists from their fleshy prisons once the colony was established. It was then that I noticed that all species, even your own main species, are considered "Pre-Sapient" if they are being assimilated, which makes an amusing sort of sense.

Nothing particularly buggy about this screenshot, I only post it because I want to pitch someone on the odd-couple buddy cop show, The Adventures of Avatar and Drake.
