I also put the picture in the introduction thread about this Beach Properties DLC. For your information, this is Sim City 4, which was released in 2003 and there were something like beaches in the category under parks in the base game and some houses, especially villas, in the game fit more with beach properties than they do in the DLC for Cities Skylines 2.

That argument was about what the waterfront zone would include, not the asset pack per se. Both are part of the Waterfront Expansion Pass but they're not the same things.
The "waterfront zone" that you're talking about is literally part of the DLC though so your referral to the expansion pass makes no sense. From the announcement of this DLC.

"Waterfront Zone
A new residential zoning option dedicated to waterfront buildings allows you to redefine your city's coastline."

It doesn't redefine the coastline at all. Its only use is for these properties that don't go on beaches.

Both questions and your replies were specifically about this DLC, you even quoted this DLC, specifically the part which mention waterfront in this beach properties DLC.

Not the pass.

Don't you get tired being nothing but a contrarian? First you criticised me because I wanted to wait and see what was in the waterfront zone instead of blindly dumping on CO in anticipation, because they can do nothing right so why wait, eh?

Now you're criticising me for insisting that CO not delivering something they never promised is not their problem but yours. Them not delivering a "beaches pack" they never promised is not a legitimate criticism. Criticise the delivered asset pack on its merits - the quality and quantity of assets. But stop confusing your desire for a more expansive "beaches pack" with what CO actually promised. Stop criticising them (and me) on the back of your disappointed wishful thinking.

Now all we need to go with the 10 new buildings is a beach and we're a small step closer to what Sim City 4 managed to do in 2003. *rolleyes* Congrats PD, once again a half baked underwhelming release - which sadly is 100% what I expected.

I wonder why in english people are always supposed to do "hard work". They never just "work" like ordinary people. Weird...
Because hard work is doing something that you really don't want to do, but do it anyway. (Of course, to the best of your ability.) Working hard is doing what you love to do and putting forth your best effort.

I feel like its been a loong wait for this much.
It also feels like no major improvement was done indeed, besides the thing about the speed simulation and the CTD issues (which at this moment I didnt get the chance to confirm any improvement). All the rest was minor. Game still has many serious problems, such as the mail system, the issue about the need for elementary School, the Exporting issues, the issues related to refinary, cement factory and dreary house, the issues related to cims behavior and pedestrians, the issues about traffic jams and driver behaviors... Omg, there are too many things more important than caring for "trees".
Excuse me being rude, but again, the wait has been loong.
Hope the next will come with more exciting content.

And now you're saying there's no reason at all to have beaches with this pack, so why didn't you say so in the first place? You're the only contrarian in the whole thread, picking fights with everyone and showing an absolute bad faith, post after post.

BTW, disagreeing with my joke about "hard work" was hilarious. You're so predictable I was sure you would do it immediately as a revenge. :p

So...none of this was affecting land value before?????

Tbh, I'm coming here already annoyed because I saw the prices for Asset Pack and new Radio Station which I believe is some kind of a joke, especially taking recent...events into account.
Also, STOP saying it's 30 new buildings. It's not. It's 10 new buildings x 3 levels. That's a huge difference.

As for the patch...

WHERE are fixes for game breaking issues??? This is truly mind-boggling at this point.
WHERE are fixes for land value issues? (no, your improved land value system doesn't fix the main problem)
WHERE are fixes for random crazy tax income or tax going to zero???

NOBODY asked for better cursor visibility in snow...people asked for an option to (visually only) turn it off. People don't like to stare at white screen for hours.

I expected way more gameplay improvements, it's been 2 months since last patch. And what's most important, I was expecting fixes to GAME-BREAKING issues.

To sum up... $10/10 euros for TEN assets is a slap in the face. The patch is missing most important fixes - and you're expecting us to wait another 2-3 months for you to MAYBE fix them?

I'd really love to play the game I paid for almost 6 months ago...and I probably could, even with current issues. But your approach, no sense of urgency and horrendous communication, gives me such an ick that I literally cannot force myself to launch this game anytime soon.
This 100%

This is beyond a joke. 2 months waiting for this crap.

What is your studio doing all this time? What is the art team doing, the animators? They didnt do much content for the paid DLC.

Beyond disappointing the bug list fix is so small, your clearly disconnected from your product Colossal Order.

Beyond salvation this game, I'm sick of waiting patiently and being made TOXIC

The thing is nobody here has any idea if CO's employees are hard working and if so how many and how hard. It's just a english-spoken cliché.

"I want to know why people are convinced without even seeing a waterfront zone that "redefining" your coastline doesn't include sand"

So do you or do you not think it's reasonable for the Beach Properties pack to include actual beaches? You certainly seemed to have thought it was.
I want to know why people don't look in de -developerMode because you can create/design your own custom beaches?

False equivalence is not an argument. The thing that makes me stand out from the likes of you is that I insist that criticism be based on reality and not wishful thinking. Given how many people seem addicted to their wishful thinking it can give the false impression that I am seeking conflict when all I am doing is insisting that criticism be fair. Criticising CO for things they didn't do is not fair, so I call people out when they do it. When you "disagree" with this you are really disagreeing that argument should be based on fact. It says more about you than it does about me.

And it seems I wasn't the only one to not get your "joke".

Criticising for things they didnt do IS FAIR. Plus, If not, they should at least have a cronogram for what was left forgotten.
