Round-up for anyone having issues

1. If you're crashing, try removing Traffic Lights Enhancement mod or Historic Start mod. Those two are known to cause issues with road builder, so until a fix is found, try removing them.

2. If you are loading but not seeing the mod, get SKYVE and launch the game from it. This will clean up some unwanted old mod files and should fix your issue.

If you're still having issues, please use the discord server to report them, it's easier to help you there.


And for those that are enjoying the mod, I appreciate your comments, thank you ❤️

Is it possible to make width of sidewalk/shoulders to be more flexible? Such as add more options or make it to be editable. It's really frustrating when the road I made is 2.1u and removes everything attached to it.

Following on from Sheep000333 and djjze I would say some of the restrictions are a bit odd. For example most pavements (sidewalks for Americans) in the UK are about 1.5m (and that includes the bit of the road nobody drives in). 3.5m is huge! You could set up a cafe table and still have room to walk around it. Likewise the residential street I live on is two way, without parking but with pavements on either side and is about 12m in total. Likewise a 2m median is large. 1m seems far more reasonable.

Sorry for my English, I'm French... (thanks google trad)

First of all, this mod is awesome! I love it!

But I encounter some visual problems with the routes I create:

- The connections of the nodes are uh not pretty?
- I have tram poles appearing on the sidewalks
- As soon as there is a crossroads, things go into a tailspin!
- If I upgrade an existing section, this resets all custom nodes via Traffic on the entire line between 2 intersections

Other than that, great job!... Congratulations!... I can't wait to be able to use it the way I completely want!

Hello players and modder!

Having a really hard time connecting a vanilla two-way train track to a train-highway combo built with the road builder mod.

Train line constructor complains about "pathfinding failed", meaning these two sectors did not really connect (even though they visually connect).

The train track is a two-way in my combo, it's placed in the outside of the highway, it's all on level ground and straight so those are not the issues.

Anyone else running into this? Thoughts on how to fix it?

I can say that the mod has worked with TLE from the start without any problems. I assume that there is some other mod causing problems that I don't use. I don't use "Historic Start", for example.

Game crash to desktop when starting Road Builder with TLE:
Good news for me and possibly others with the same problem! I created a new playset for testing and gradually activated mods from my list.
Result: TLE and Road Builder work together, when Goee is disabled! :cool:

@TDW thank you for the incredible mod - it's really fun to create new networks! However there might be an issue or some other incompatibility: When I create new rail networks (at least train and metro) the network speed somehow gets locked to 50km/h after creation, so trains are crawling.

I also have the "Speed Limit Editor" installed, so I know it's 50km/h ;) maybe you can check on your end what's up with this?`Thanks!

Coming back to my initial post - even if I modify speeds with the Speed Limit Editor mod it seems not quite right - it looks a bit like both the lane speed limit set by Road Builder and the one set by the Speed Limit Editor are conflicting.

I removed most mods affecting traffic behavior now (besides Realistic Trips), created a new rail network (speed limit = 160km/h, untouched) and compared the original network with the one created in Road Builder:

m_SpeedLimit on the original asset is 88.8889, the copy is set to 27.77778 as shown :confused:

Gooee is already broken and obsolete, REMOVE IT

J'ai créé une carte avec l'éditeur, j'y ai ajouté des routes que j'ai créée avec votre mod "Road builder".

Lorsque je lance la fête, les carrés constructibles autour des routes modifiées n'apparaient pas.

Lorsque je souhaite supprimer les feux aux intersections, intersections de 2 routes modifiées ou 1 route modée et une route vanille, les jeux crash et retour bureau.

Il suffit de le mentionner.

Currently, I can only set them to 2m and 5m, but I would like to freely adjust them to 3m or 4m, or even wider. Will the author optimize this aspect in the future,thank u for reading,looking forward to ur reply!

Le support pour les cartes n'est pas encore complet, mais il est prévu d'être ajouté

There's definite plans to increase the width options for lanes

ITS WORKING AGAIN
deleting created ones and make new roads same as first one make it work and I can upgrade it again without crash.

Everything back to normal.

Hey guys,

I have issue with one and only custom road. It was one way alley with walking on both sides and quay on the seeside, but suddenly it went completly white and it doesnt work as road anymore.

Cant be upgraded to another or delete. Game always crash. Tried with or without modes, tried with different mods

Any suggestions? I dont want to loose about 12h work in game.

No, you cannot, unfortunately. I'm sad about it too. Hopefully it can be done some day, as well as having sidewalks narrower than 3.5 meters, or have 90° parking like some 3rd party assets have.
Yea my hope is that in the future we will see some sort of custom assets that can be used by road builder to give us a lot more options.
 
I cannot see small icons at the top-left corner without Gooee. That means I cannot use the mods directly. Are there any alternative mods can solve this? :p
After installing Extra UI Screens , the small icons show up again~
