0x80830003 this error pops up when I start the game and I have taken the necessary steps to solve the problem the only one I haven't is resetting my console as I don't want to mess anything up if it may be a you problem as it only started to happen after the new patch and dlc.

I reinstalled the game to see if that would work then I cleared saved data and after uninstalling and reinstalling again it still doesn't work. The only thing that could be done on my end is to reset my console however I would rather avoid the hassle of doing that and I believe this is an issue on you're end and not my own (Obviously I could be wrong)

The game as a result can't really be enjoyed when you can't save and empires don't save due to data not saving despite having done the first step in resolving the error code

Console: Xbox Series X

Started happening after installing the latest patch and the new DLC
I have no idea how you would replicate it

This is happening all the time

This error code indicates that your Console is out of hard drive space. I'm guessing since your cleared your game data, this is likely not the case. (but worth checking, to be sure!) After some brief google-fu, I found an answer that helped other people with this issue.

If this works/doesn't work, please let me know!

I've done those steps. The only one I could do is a full hard reset of my console but it's literally only stellaris that has this problem.
I have tons of space free I have cleared the saved data of the game which doesnt work and the only way I can play is through cloud gaming (Cloud gaming isn't perfect and is a last resort) otherwise the error still pops up.

This problem only started since the update. I would like to avoid a reset of my console as there are risks in doing that which I do not believe are worth. Quite clearly this has been caused by the update.

This is kind of a long shot - and I will not fault you for not trying this - but it is maybe possible that your cloud saves are full (if this is a thing?). A helpful discord user found this article, that tells you how to clear your xbox cloud saves, if you're interested:

I wouldn't mind trying this I just am unsure of the consequences of the decision so I am unsure.

I don't really know how cloud saves work so I have zero idea

This will not work. Step 5 tells you to delete the save using the easily visible delete button.
This will only delete the save on the console, not the cloud save.

Step 5 should read:

Highlight the save
Press A on the save
Out of the three options select 'Delete everywhere'

This will delete the console and cloud save, just using the delete button will mean the save is replaced from the cloud when the game is started.
